Still waiting on the q-jet rebuild. Getting frustrated, want to at least bolt one back on and fire her up!

Re: My new build thread: Stage 4!
Was getting tired of waiting-so I just picked up a rebuilt one from a board member. Now I'll have 3 q-jets in the end! Should be able to get one to do the job.

Re: My new build thread: Stage 4!
Got the carb mounted, but not dialed in yet. Gonna need some help from my friend John to get it setup. I did get a package dropped off today from UPS. More exterior Rubber Weatherstripping. Front fender seal set, Hood shock insulator set, Hood to cowl seal, Junction box gasket, little plastic retainers for the double wall upper door seals, and upper and lower tailgate bumpers w/screws. Only leaves about 4 more to have everything I'll need except the stuff to rebuild the front door windows. Whew!!

Oh, then I went ahead and ordered up the upper roof rail seal set for the doors on the double wall top last night! Precision replacement parts, pretty good price too!

Re: My new build thread: Stage 4!
Yes, John stopped by the pole barn tonight and got the new rebuilt q-jet up and running! Just ordered up the needed divorce choke thermostat, cover, linkage, and retainer clips. Should be good to go! Sure felt good to hear her fire up again! Can't wait to just hit the key again and she will sit there and purr!

Re: My new build thread: Stage 4!
Just ordered up the 3 speed blower w/free 5000 BTU heater from JEGS! Weather is turning here in northern Mi, and it may take the chill off working out in the pole barn.

Re: My new build thread: Stage 4!
Just a bunch of small stuff came in. No pic's. I think I have got all the carb parts to finish this q jet off. Been brainstorming on some custom offroad light mounts for my windshield frame. Got a plan and need my friend John and his plasma cutter to help me out here.

Re: My new build thread: Stage 4!
Worked on the mounts today, just need to drill the needed holes tommorrow. Able to fab up at work, should be almost done tommorrow! Made from 1/2" aluminum, should be just right?

Re: My new build thread: Stage 4!
Got the mounts done today, turned out just the way I wanted them. Got them drilled, painted and ready to mount up. Still have to drill the windshield frame top lip to line up but made a couple of templates to make them fit perfectly. Very happy with the way they turned out, not show quality but just right for my custom build! Got some pic's for ya Swamprat!

Re: My new build thread: Stage 4!
So, I got a new 4 core radiator for my 383 stroker swap. Been collecting stuff to use when the install happens. 383 stroker, 4 speed manual, no a/c. Any ideas on what pound radiator cap to run? Thank's in advance guy's!

Re: My new build thread: Stage 4!
Not much of a update, but it looks like Santa is going to bring some goodies afterall! A new Rampage jerry can tool box and a NOS jerry can mount with strap on the way! Plan on setting them up on the new custom rear bumper from CHAOS offroad!

Re: My new build thread: Stage 4!
Yes, Santa brought the new Rampage jerry can tool box, and the NOS jerry can mount! Which made me start ordering up new Craftsman tools to fill it up.Yea, I can't draw tools out of the pole barn everytime-Blazer needs the trail ready tools to be on hand when needed! Changed my mind on the mount, going to mount it inside behind the rear seats. Will still mount a jerry can for extra fuel on the rear bumper setup!
