Re: Project two tone.
Alright! Got one of the lines mounted up. The 2nd line is taking forever to dry....anyhow, pictures! Will get some better tomorrow when it's brighter out. I have always wanted to run the fuel line behind the motor and Finally got to do it. Makes things look much cleaner up front. Painted the line the same color as the motor to help blend it in as the idea is to keep it somewhat hidden. But I like it being accessible if needed and it will be this way. Didn't come out as good as I hoped, but not to bad either for being a newb to bending fuel lines! haha! Will mount the other line tomorrow and get some pics. Hoping to get some cab work done. Later guys!

Re: Project two tone.
Hey guys, got some cover priming done on the cab this weekend. Made good progress for only having about an hour of time allotted. haha Have this weekend off some so serious time is in the air. If all goes right the bottom of the cab should be fully primed and paint should be on it's way pending I get the 478 v6 or not. We'll see! Later guyz!

Re: Project two tone.
Hey guyz!!!! Well today was one heck of a great day with two tone. Really happy I put that tent up so I could work in the rain. haha Had a few hours of rain today, but that didn't stop me from truck time.
Due to stupid fire laws I am not allowed to sand or grind on metal in between the hours of 10AM and 8 PM. So this morning I sanded and sand blasted until 10, then laid some more fiber fill and body filler on the already hardened fill and waited all day so that would set and harden. While waiting I got to work on fixing the clearance issues with the sway bar(not sure if I mentioned that already???) and made some nice spacer blocks. Pics of those Sunday. I'm pretty sure I never mentioned the fiber fill...well here I am admitting. haha None of the rot on this cab was that Bad, so I figured fiber fill would do the job. Stuff dries hard as a rock and I think will last many years...especially with the 2 coats of rust tough....4 coats of epoxy...and 4 more coats of paint...I think we'll be ok. haha Oh not to mention the body filler on top of the fill. I took some giveaway pictures so you folks would see the areas I purposely left super thick for extra protection as these are prone for rot areas. Granted the truck will never be driven in rain or snow, but none the less....I don't take chances...plus side is...once the cab is on you won't see it anyhow so I could care less. haha Anyhow, enjoy the pics folks! Later! Will be laying epoxy Sunday morning.

Re: Project two tone.
Well no updates quite picture worthy. Last weekend I got the bottom of the cab sealed off in Epoxy primer. Had to small a fluid tip in the hvlp so it was rather a fight trying to get the primer to spray somewhat decent, but this stuff somehow has a self-leveling additive. haha Once dry it was pretty smooth, little color sanding and it would be perfect. I also got the inside of the roof in primer after a good 3 hours of sanding to get that metal super smooth. This time with a larger tip I was still fighting the gun, but it came out almost perfect for epoxy so I am happy. Plus 2k urethane filler primer will be put on top of that so I will worry about color sanding then.
Today more parts from Summit Racing should be here. And tomorrow my black single stage paint should be here so I can lay some paint this weekend as I have the the weekend off. Later guyz.

Re: Project two tone.
New air cleaner and fuel pump in.
Attempted to paint between the fins yesterday, but I did't think to roughen the surfaces a little for the paint to stick better so when I peeled tape the paint came with it...so a little rubbing alcohol to remove the paint and we'll try it again. Also didn't get the tape lines quite right either. May have to brush this.

Re: Project two tone.
I hate it when the paint peels off with the tape. Keep the updates coming.

Re: Project two tone.
Looks good! I always found painting fins with a brush was quicker in the long-run than masking/spraying. Just have to get the paint thing enough to self-level so as not to leave brush strokes.

Pending on how the weather(and paycheck) is, should be getting some paint for the under dash and working on getting that knocked out this weekend. Once that is done the cab can sit on the rolling cart like it's supposed to and I will start prepping the inside floor panel for primer and paint. All weather pending at this point. Parts will be on order soon. Hope your weekend was a good one gents.
