Yes on the Raptor. I really like the finished results. It is super easy to apply. I think it will be far superior to the oem undercoating.
It should insulate better and kill the tinny sound. I really wish I had purchased some reducer though. I added the micro insulation and it just got too thick to shoot effectively. I ended up rolling part of the first coat to get it to lay down. I will use the fat mat liquid and some type of Dynomat or similar over it on the inside. I think after carpet the sound from the floor should be way better than original setup.

That undercoat really looks good Mike. With the microcells and mat it should really sound as solid. Keep up the good work and haul in some linkers this weekend.

6 mph and the rpm at wot is still the same?? If so... It's the prop. I bet it rolled one of the blades... Look at it again. Does it still plane and pull like it did?
You can just use urethane reducer on the raptor if you need to.

Chris, I only got it up to around 5300. I think it may be a combination of the prop and not getting enough fuel. I will check it out more next week.

Thanks Ben, not sure how durable this stuff is? It looks just like the stuff that commercial places spray on. I think if you spray a few good coats it would hold up good.

I've been working really hard this week to get caught up on some custom parts. Here is one of them, I thought I would share my idea for the canister purge solenoid block off plate I made. I made it from a scrap piece of aluminum then polished the face.

Minor set back today. I was block sanding on the roof and noticed an oily residue around the self leveling seam sealer I laid on the roof over the epoxy primer but under the high build primer. I followed the instructions to the letter. I'm not sure if the tube was expired or just didn't flow properly but it didn't set up right. So I have to scrape/chisel it all out and redue it. I hate redoing things that I shouldn't have to. For the record I used THIS
I was on a pretty good roll till I saw this. Frustrated I just walked off and left it.

Blech. Did the same thing on mine when I over filled it. Sucks to have to re do it- hopefully it's still pliable and will peel out in big pieces. I've had good luck with the 3M 2k stuff, but it dries FAST...

It sucks for sure. I should be able to get it cleaned out. might take some time but it is what it is now. I feel like the mix was kinda screwed up. I got a few different shades of blue out of the same tube. Even though I pushed some out like the tube says to make sure it flows evenly.

I really don't understand what happend. Part of it setup like it should and part of it is like epoxy without the catalyst? Not too sure what I'm going to do yet. Might just chisel it out with a screwdriver. I let it set up for a few days before I shot the high build primer. Not sure some of the sealer would have ever set up.
better now than when the paint is on it.

Sorry to hear about your drip rail,,, I hate having to re-do things. I used a "run of the mill" seam sealer on mine and it worked out pretty well. I'll get a brand name for you later today and post it.

I think I'm just going strip the whole roof seam with a wire wheel after I dig out as much as I can. Get it back dow to bare metal, then re primer and re seal with some regular epoxy seam sealer.

It's all good Wade. I will work through it just like anyone would on here. Just really frustrating because it laid down so smooth. I guess it was never really set up.

Mike, if there's anything worse than re-doing things that you shouldn't have to, it's re-doing things because it's your own fault. Happens to me all the time.

Doing a project on your own like this sure gives me an appreciate of all the work that goes into it. Most anyone can rip off a check and buy a completed truck and then take all the credit for their exceptional taste, but nothing can buy the satisfaction you get from looking at a truck and knowing everything that went into it. It will all be worth it.

Love the fab work, as usual. Really cool!
