Re: 68 S/C update.....

Awesome build! I've taken a lot of notes between this thread and a few others. I'm still in the planning phases but the motor has been ordered. Any interest in making another gas pedal mount when you make yours? I can't wait to see it finished

Thanks Daniel. I haven't finished the fuel lines on this one yet. But if you look at the Burb, you can see what I did there. I'll post some pictures when I get that part done.

Thanks! Let me get the final version of the pedal adapter built and I'll see what I can do.

No problem. It's no rush on my end. The only thing I have is a engine and trans at the moment. I still have a mountain of other parts to research and buy so it'll be months before I actually start the swap. If it's a issue I completely understand. Thanks

Re: 68 S/C update.....

Very nice work on the pedal. Too bad it only works for 2005 up. I had to hack my 2003 HERE pedal to make it work.

Re: 68 S/C update.....

Looking great! I like the six pack holder.

The caddy tranny cover swap is nice. I noticed when I did my mock up that it does hang a little low!

If you would hurry up and finish yours, you could take a vacation back to NM and help me finish mine!

Thanks John. I think you'll like the Caddy pan, it is almost level with the bottom of the fram rails. I probably will need a vacation by time I'm done, . I didn't get much this weekend, but played around with my new phone camera....

Re: 68 S/C update.....

Rob I just got caught up in your thread and man I tell you the truck with that modern powertrain has got to be a delight to drive it. I know how it is to drive these trucks with a built old chool motor and it gets old after a few hours this is definetly a want to do next for "Sylvester" Get caught up on all your builds so you can help the big guy with my swap.

Tranny mount is welded up and bolted in. So motor and tranny are installed and now I can work on fine tuning everything else, .

Wiring looks the same. Call John a Speartech, I'm sure he'll know the answer.

Thanks! It's a Hart_Rod special............ I took part of a CPP mount and cut the ends off. Then I had some metal bent for the C-channel part because I didn't like the mount just bolting to the bottom of the frame. Then I just welded new tabss on the end of the bar. This made it easier to adjust to fit my application better.

Sorry, I meant the mount its self, not the cross-member.

Gotchya, it's an Energy Suspension poly mount. I took it off of my Turbo 350 before I sold it.

I haven't been updating because of the pic resize issue, but it looks like they have part of that fixed so here's a few pics I made from my camera.
