54 Cab and frame out east of Renton Washington . The cab looks pretty decent outside of a lot of bondo in the cowl side panels. 500 with mostly good glass.

That's a few miles from my sister and brother in law but I am out of project space.

For the PNW TF brigade, It looks like a long bed 58 stepside that was cut out for tubs at one time.

The fenders lookgood and the front panel and tailgate look real good.

That doesn't look like a bad deal at all. Wish it was closer to me.

Re: Post your C/L - Facebook finds for everyone to enjoy!

Actually it's only 277 or so miles from you. The price is a bit high by my standards but I figure that Cash Green money in the hand speaks loudly. still it's what you don't have to do to the fenders, tailgate and front panel that give the value.

Re: Post your C/L - Facebook finds for everyone to enjoy!

I'm thinking that one is going to be for sale for a long time at that price. Sticking frufru that doesn't belong on that model of vehicle doesn't make it worth three times the money.

Nice truck to have to haul hay and lumber with though.

An Add in a bit of a different way. Rydman Ranch Company is a Chassis builder now located down the road from me in Prineville Oregon who builds some serous Chevy/GMC truck chassis.

Great people that I met at the Portland Roadster show a few years ago.

This is their offering for a 55/59.

1952 chevy short box 5 window. 1982 s10 long bed. 504 frame kit still in the boxes. 52 has some rust in the floorboards. Both trucks run & have titles.

That S-10 is worth 2500 to Migrant farm workers over here in the Yakima Valley if it runs and drives decent.

Truck looks better than most that come up for sale even if you sold off the S 10 and the kit.

That's a sweet deal!! The interior was already repainted, the gauges look new/redone, and it's going to run... grab that $500 bed while you're on the road and you've got yourself a truck!

If I had space I'd park it and tinker, for sure. Somebody buy this and start a thread!

Re: Post your C/L - Facebook finds for everyone to enjoy!

My buddy had a TF 1 ton with a hoist and flatbed for years. Nice truck that we hauled all kinds of stuff with, towed stuff all over with and it was a great little truck. He sold it to a Cemetery association to use in the cemetery somewhere here in the PNW.

I don't know if that 55 would be worth 10 K without a lot of extras but that would be great to redo but not overdo to have as your haul most anythign work truck.

The big problem with it is that if you have a truck with a flatbed and hoist your wife is always dreaming up projects that it can do. Haul top soil, haul gravel for the driveway, haul a load of mulch for the garden, Haul off a load of ????? then another load. Great for hauling firewood home too.

At the south end of Whidbey Island that one is going to take some spendy ferry rides or a lot of driving if you come from the south. Plus unless they have equipment you have to figure out how to either load or haul that steel flatbed.

Truth be, this might be one of those days it is a good thing that I don't have a lot of extra spending money as have wanted a 55/56 since the 70's. That and my trailer won't handle that much weight.

This just popped up on Craigslist in L.A.

I'd like to have it if I were doing another project. Saved pics just because I think it'll sell fast if the right guy (one of you!) sees it at only $8,500 obo.

1955.1 Jimmy. VERY nicely done already. Personally, I'd put different wheels and tires but otherwise it's very nice. I suppose $27,500 is a lot in other parts of the country but not so much in SoCal.
