I removed the 2 middle bolts on my intake and added some sealant. there was a little oil seeping up the threads. need to do driver side as well

Got some spots missed in my patches all welded up, then went to the holes in the drivers side floor that I hadn't seen before, made some patches, and now I have to re-think the whole thing. Do I replace the floor, do I make a new one, do I buy a repro, hmmmmmmmm

With coming home late, going out and voting with the wire and taking my evening walk, didn't get much done but got my "five minutes" in. Went to the hardware store and got flat stock to make the nuts on the back of my hinges, cut it into four pieces ready to go. I also got some Ospho on the inside of the metal pieces I will be installing on the back of the cab.
I have to tell you guys again, I never heard of anything like this until just a year or two ago. "Oil" reduces friction but this "cutting fluid" helps with tapping, or cutting, or drilling, it's friggin amazing stuff!  I was cutting this 1/4" thick flat stock with my air saw and it was taking a bit, I put a drip of "Tap Magic" on it and wham it started cutting much faster, amazing! Brian

At half time in the NBA Finals game 3 I got out to the garage! I got these nuts made and welded in to the back side of the hinge mounts. I did this to use that back bolt for fine tuning of the door fit. They used that bolt on the later trucks and cars, Don't know why they didn't on these. The other photo is of the horrible factory work. It amazes me that I never spotted this before, maybe I did 20 years ago. Anyway, I can't leave it, I will be making a patch to clean that up too. I got out there and got to the garage and welded up those odd holes on the bottom of the cab corners, WHOOOHOOOOO!

after a year and a half of work ( and wages) focused on my wife's car getting it back on the road after a 25 year stint in a barn, my truck got a new seat! time to put in a power rack as well.

Sorry, no photos. Just got out there and put in my "five minutes" grinding some welds smooth and removing what was left of the windlace channels, getting it a step closer to getting some primer on it.

I really didn't think I was going to get any garage time today. however I was determined to do something. when I was walking past the truck coming in from a family dinner I saw my repaired fender on the ground and decided it was time. I got the fender sitting on there with most of the underside bolts in loose. im going to the hardware store tomorrow to get some matching button head bolts to use on all the visible parts. will have the fender buttoned up tomorrow. happy about that.

I painted and installed the new frontend parts, repainted the gas tank filler c notch, and put a new bed on just for looks!!! Boy, from all the posts about trouble with the bed, this one went on in literally 2 seconds!!!

I didn't get to finish my fender. I really just needed 45 minutes but had things come up all day and then boom. its 10pm. oh well. I did get all of my hardware so I can get right on it next time.
