Re: Boss 338 Wheels **GROUP BUY**
Well, after reading this thread I decided not to buy Boss 338 wheels, but I loved the look of them so I bought these, Ridler 695s in grey with a machined lip and I'm glad to say they fit my 1.25 rotors with no mods! Here's a couple quick pics. I checked fit on the stock 1985 GM rotors that are on my truck and a brand new 1.25 rotor from NAPA, these wheels fit both rotors perfectly, no need to flatten the dust cap either Wheels are 18x8 0 offset.

How about the rear wheels. Will they fit without spacers?

Re: Boss 338 Wheels **GROUP BUY**
Those Ridlers look great. What kind of price compared to the Boss 338?

Re: Boss 338 Wheels **GROUP BUY**
Ok here's the deal, made in China sorry [I would have bought American if they would have fit] same price or less than the 338s I got mine from Steve at Mr wheel deal [google him] Less than $600 for the set shipped! Yes they fit the rear with NO spacers

Re: Boss 338 Wheels **GROUP BUY**
They are on the front with a 1.25 rotor in the first 2 pics, they fit with no mods or spacers.

Re: Boss 338 Wheels **GROUP BUY**
The truck is a 65 with a 72 rear end and a complete front frame clip from a 85 C10 with 1.25 rotors

Re: Boss 338 Wheels **GROUP BUY**
Got any pics of the rear? I know you said they fit without a spacer but I wonder how far in/out they sit in relation to the wheel well. The 338 will fit on my 73 up rear diff. but require a spacer to make it look "right"

Re: Boss 338 Wheels **GROUP BUY**
What a shame that the Chinese can get it right and the American company can't, not even with their own design.

Re: Boss 338 Wheels **GROUP BUY**
Looks like "zero offset" is the only offset on the wheels.
That will be a better offset for the 20x10's. (5.50" backspacing)

Re: Boss 338 Wheels **GROUP BUY**
Here are my 338s - 3AA 20x8.5" all around
My suspension is (i believe) a 77 C-10 setup. Still had to grind on the front rotor. The rear looks like it would have enough clearance without spacers, but I don't like the way they set inboard of the fronts, so I just ordered 1" spacers. I did the same thing on the TTIIs I had on my 72 GMC. |
