Here's my 72 C/10 then 20 now 30. 454, th400, np205, D60 front, corp 14 with a Detroit and 4.56s front and rear. My Dad bought the truck when I was two and I bought it from him when I was 17. Build up of suspension and axles currently in progress, more lift and a shackle flip in the rear.

There's nothing wrong with that. I built my truck to be a work truck, not an off roader. And it does everything I ask it to do quite well! Just because it's a 4x4 with a little lift, doesn't mean you have to abuse it. I rely on my truck too much to beat it up on the weekend.

I agree with you 100% on that. I saw some of the pics of your crew on here and I'd love to have one. I have a 84 reg cab 3500 dually 4x4, that is my next project, I'll have to get some pics of that one on here too.

EDIT: to add i think the other forums are biased and who cares what they think anyway, I have no plans on using my truck for any more than camping, besides its a long bed, who uses a 4X with a long bed for 4 wheelin anyway?

Re: How about some pics of your 4x4

I just picked this up 1970 CST K20 stick, I posted a few pics on the other pic thread, but since it is a 4x4, why not some here. I want to repaint it. I was thinking a nice dark blue, but still not sure. Any suggestions?

Re: How about some pics of your 4x4

Yes, it has a two speed rear, or gear splitter. As far as I can tell it is a $2500 option. I will post some pics of the set up later. Thanks for the compliments. The truck was supposed to be delivered today, but the guy delivering it had some fuel line issues so now we are looking at Wednesday. This waiting is killing me.

Re: How about some pics of your 4x4

Stuff I currently own: 2007 Chevy 2500HD with a 6.0. 1994 Chevy K2500 with 350 - 200,000 on body, 70,000 on engine.

Stuff I used to own: 2000 Chevy 2500 with 6.0. 1994 Chevy 2500 Heavy half ton.

Pickup I'll buy on the spot if I ever find it: 1981 GMC K10. Dad bought new. Had a 350, automatic, 4" lift with I think 35" Ground Hogs. It had vinyl buckets with a console. And it was awesome.
