I hope the seats work out well for you man! If not permanently, they should be good for a while.
lownfast, hope the job at LKQ treats you well. I use the LKQ up here quite a bit for my new job as a Parts Manager in a body shop near by. They always seem to treat us well.

Re: Finally "Silvers" build thread!! ('78 swb 2wd silverado)
Ya it a drive for sure, a solid 45 mins without traffic. I'm hoping to move to a location closer to home at some point. I'm more than happy to work a deal for anyone on here, depending on your location I may have to pass it to some one in that region.

Re: Finally "Silvers" build thread!! ('78 swb 2wd silverado)
too bad my camera wasnt better or even better yet wish you guys could see it in person. Rich Grant is a hell of a painter. turned out beautiful! i'm waiting on the body mount kit from lmc to bolt her down. my floor pan from captkaos (using 2 to make 1) should be here tomorrow along with the headers. i'm going to use some nice pin head bolts (thanks Billy!) for all the bolts on top of the core support and start bolting everything back on. Amy and i are also deciding what color leather to choose for the interior... a little ways away but atleast it gets her involved enough to not think about how much money i'm going to be spending
heres the seats i have decided to go with... http://www.discountvantruck.com/truc...canLowback.htm i'm also liking these alot though.... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Hot-S...Q5fAccessories

Re: Finally "Silvers" build thread!! ('78 swb 2wd silverado)
looking good man. It's nice to see some body components starting to make their way back onto the frame.
As for the leather I like the Moondust, or the tan. I'm just not much on tan interiors though. However, if it's two toned like that second set of seats you showed that would be pretty cool. |

Those seats on ebay are sick. I would love to have those in my truck. I've been debating changing my interior from burgandy to tan but havent decided yet.

Re: Finally "Silvers" build thread!! ('78 swb 2wd silverado)
as promised just a little late. i had problems with the collector bolts... you need to bolt the collector flange on the headers before you install them!!!!!!!!!!! i couldnt get a wrench or thin wall socket on them.

Re: Finally "Silvers" build thread!! ('78 swb 2wd silverado)
i ended up also taking the Goats MSD "massive" wires off and swapping them with the a/c delcos that i put on the lq9 so there would be more clearance on the headers. i also had to grind the oil dipstick bracket down to clear the header flange.
