Yes, a small garage for golf cart, motorcycle etc. He had his dual sport motorcycle and a couple of mountain bikes. We did the exhaust Saturday and he sold it Sunday. Put it up for sale a few weeks ago and someone came with cash Sunday.

So I took the bus home. It wasn't bad. Kind of nice actually. But it did remind me of when I was a kid and my school bus crashed and we all went flying around.(No seat belts in those days) No one got really hurt but we all got bounced around pretty good and that bus was really smashed up.

So it was kind of a Deja Vu moment for me.
You didn't say how your bus crash happened, but my high school bus got hit on the way home one time. Someone came out from a side street, crossed the other lane and ran into the side of the bus in front of the rear axle. Just a big jolt for us kids, but I've always wondered how they couldn't see something that is literally as big as a bus and covered in 238 gallons (estimated) of bright orange-yellow paint.

Re: What did you do today not on your truck...

The only school bus mishap I experienced was one morning we passed an oncoming combine that had a light hanging out enough to rake across the windows shattering them. Very startling to say the least. I thought it was cool. No one got hurt and we got to school really late!

So true about the paint! One of my sons was on the way to school on the bus and noticed that the bus had stopped in the middle of the intersection. Someone in a Mercedes couldn't wait for the bus to get all the way through the intersection, turned early and drove under the bus all the way to the windshield. Nobody hurt, nobody on the bus even felt the impact! 55 passenger bus is what...40 feet long? SMH

Re: What did you do today not on your truck...

I added a spin-on filter to my parts washer, just a small motorcycle/atv size filter. Let it run and the solvent is noticeably cleaner, lighter in color too. Just something I wanted to keep from recirculating the dirt/particulate on the parts I'm trying to clean. The pump seems happy and still has plenty of flow and luckily Rock Auto has these cheap little filters for $1.39 each which is good enough for a parts washer. When the flow slows down then it will be time to change the filter.

Replaced the crappy rear in the Dodge . Pumpkin rotted out but it’s a common problem with 2002 - 09 trucks with AAM rears. Got the old one out yesterday and the replacement in today. Just have to hook the brake lines ,bleed and hook up the ebrake

x2. I imagine any type of remote filter housing would work but compact and 139 cent filters are a good thing. Thanks for the picture. Sorry for all of the curiosity ;)

Rebuilt the BBQ. New burners, grills and plates plus a good cleaning. Can't wait to do up some steaks on a sunny afternoon now!

Its a left over from a college project, pretty sure its not off the shelf based on memory. Rock Auto sells spin on adapters and remote mount adapter kits in the tools and universal parts section.

They used to let the vanners stay overnight in the park. The club isn't involved. Classic Parts is putting it on. I'll put the arm on Carrie to get some info out on the ol interwebs. Are you coming for the shindig in July, or the meet up in Springfield in a week?

I bought a remote spin-on filter mount at NAPA. They come with two-bolt mounting. The fuel/water filter base/mount (plastic) on the firewall of my diesel Jimmy cracked and replacements are unavailable so I rigged up the spin-on mount and a bleed valve in the line. I tried to find it on NAPA's lame website but they want all the vehicle info for a "universal spin on filter mount". So I Googled that, without universal, and got a zillion results

Decades ago I think I got one from Northern Hydraulics (now "Tool"). It was all catalog back then (no internet and web existed) and about the only place that I could find cups for the old hydraulic cylinders* that I had salvaged. I finally bought myself a brand new 20gpm pump for my loader and about that time I decided to do it more or less right and get a filter for the system. It was a spin on with pipe thread in and out and I mounted it on the return end of my valve bank.

I don't remember how expensive the filters were, but I wasn't changing them but about once a year or so.

* I used to get old leaky cylinders from the junkyard for maybe $5 and rebuild them with new cups from NH for maybe another $3-$4 Some of those cylinders would be several hundred dollars new at that time (1980s). I couldn't figure out why people would just throw stuff away, but even the parts stores in that little mountain town would say "oh, we can't get those seals - just go buy a new one"

Re: What did you do today not on your truck...

I changed the fuel pump on the wifes 2000 GMC and was a pretty simple fix except for draining the gas tank. The one time my wife actually fills up her car full of gas. I hate the smell of gas, had a headache for two days straight. I watched on youtube where people actually cut out the rear of the floor instead of lowering the fuel tank down. It takes a special kind of stupid to cut the metal floor out of your vehicle not the mention the support bracing that runs across vehicle to change the fuel pump like that.
