It has a 454/525hp with 781 heads, lots of porting, 10.25comp ratio, Airgap, hooker headers with 3" exh and flowmastersuper44's. Also sm465/205. Very fun to drive.

Re: How about some pics of your 4x4
Those tires look absolutely great. Any rubbering at all? Your truck has a 6" lift right? What was the cost per tire and are they radials? How do they handle on and off road?

Re: How about some pics of your 4x4
Ya they are really nice tires, only went around the block so far, it is a 6" spring lift front /back but they did hit on a right turn at about 3/4 turn, just close on a left turn so I cut the bottom of each fender in the front and then reboxed them back in last night and reundercoated them again, it worked so well you can't even notice the change. Tires wre $395 each and are not radials, I don't like the weak sidewall on radials for 4x4ing and with the extra width of a 14.50 tire they ride really nice, lots of air volumn, haha. I used 12" rims also to flatten them out.

FREAKIN LOVE the truck Mud Man!!!!!!!!
And I agree about the Big Block! Running a 468 in mine. Only 8.5 to 1 compression (built for a future blower) and still putting out just over 500 HP. |

The new paint scheme is much better than just plain black, i really like it. How does the K5 perform in the mud? Any vids of it going through mud? Someday i got to get myself one of these beauties. Any more future mods being done? |

I'm sure it kicks in the mud now the way it is setup, imagine when the blower gets added, hang on.

Re: How about some pics of your 4x4
kindah wonder if you need ported heads on an engine that big , usually they only cause the engine to need more revs and that seems not a good idea in the mud as that stuff flies everywhere while you dig 4 axle deep holes in less than a second
i figure you would need a low reving engine with masses of torq pulling you up a hill while barely more than ticking over i wouldnt know for sure as we dont have mush mud here usually its clay and sandy soil

Re: How about some pics of your 4x4
What did you make your flares from, some kind of rubber belting, works good. Just don't understand, one of the most popular trucks ever built and no one makes flares for them, my tires stick out big time, but nothing i can do about it, just avoid the law and behave, hard to do the second one though.

Re: How about some pics of your 4x4
LMC has 1 3/4" flares. Also email bushwhacker, I believe they used to make them. They might still have a set or two laying around.

Re: How about some pics of your 4x4
another option might be to have someone bent some diamont plate cut in a 2 inch wide strip to fit the lip on the arch of the fenders , if you polish those they whont realy stand out on a custom car

Re: How about some pics of your 4x4
Thanks for the help on the fender flares, Lmc has the flexy flare, which I can buy here in town, 1.5" or 3" wide, at least available, but not great looking and Bushwacker "seems " to be making cutout only flares, 3" wide at approx $220-250 U.S. each set. So will look into it, especially if I get pulled off the road as my front tires stick out about 5" and back 3", looks cool but sure throws the mud.

Re: How about some pics of your 4x4
Last I checked Bushwhacker doesn't make them for our trucks anymore. I tried several distributors hoping to find a set still on the shelf somewhere and got the same response, discontinued and out of stock.
I'm going to try order a set of their cutout flairs for an F450. They are availible in 4 1/2" instead of the normal 2 1/2". If I can modify them to fit I may just pop a mold off of them. I'm trying to visualize a set in carbon fiber. |

Re: How about some pics of your 4x4
ya, bushwacker is a bit wacker on whether they make them or not, but I found other sites that sell the cutout flares only online ans say in stock, all 3" and way easier than cutting some F ones up and modifying, but carbon fiber would be cool for sure, hmmm. I had it saved and is under http//www.truckcandy.com. Same part# for K and subsurbans, not sure if they actually fit a Blazer, is a Blazer different, prob not.
