Keep on goin with the truck. Your still doing a great job. I say fix the bodywork on it instead of finding replacements. Looks awesome and atleast its out on the road.

haha! thanks! i was trying to pound the dent out i brought out my hammer and dolly set and everything and i got it looking good... but i noticed that it was still inward... so off came the spare tire and i looked at the bed to frame real good and sure enough it weeked the entire bed in that spot.... so out comes the original jack lol straightened the trim up a little and put it back on. then took care of the bare metal up top.

yeah after inspecting the bed and everything and evaluating whats good srill and whats bad... ive deicded an entire bed is what i will do. the only good things where all the floor sills the header board and the wheel tubs... i dont want a wood floor so the floor and header board is of no use to me.. and the wheel tubs are nice but of there the only good things then might as well just keep the bed and piece myself ( or buy a complete original) up a swb fleet 67 metal floor.

sometimes i like to be a real lame azz and have no fun lol just have a 67 shortfleet fall right into my lap NOT! if there anything like a clean 67 passenger fender to find then its gonna take probably 3 years to find the right bed or piece one together! but challenge excepted.

Re: 1967 Chevy CST aka "the loud truck"

well i got some things working this weekend. driving around i noticed my passenger blinkers stopped working causing the arrow to stay lit in the dash.. so that needed to be fixed. i also hated how i had primer grey under the cowl. and i didnt like how the windsheild wahsers didnt work on my truck... there probably isnt a single truck in my town or the one next door that have a 67-72 that has one of those work. so this is kinda something thats small and we can all live without and most of us do. so i wanted this to work! so i got out a kit that my grandpa gave me. and tore into it. after about 2 hours of work ( some breaks and working on other stuff) i had it pumpin! got the FAT old flintstone designed 67 pump out and witht that gone.... im lovin that extra bit of room i have under the dash. as all of you know these AC dashes are jam packed so the more room the better! so here some pics. didnt take any of the tur signal though... but heres the washer. and for anyone wanting to know! your yellow wire goes to your positive on the new pump and your dark blue goes to the negative. so you have to cut the plastic end off of the old pump wiring and lengthen the wires to where ever your new pump is i still need to get some rubber hoses to go from the driver side radiator support all the way to the squirters... and im going to try and run it as clean as possible.

Re: 1967 Chevy CST aka "the loud truck"

oh and i forgot. i messed with the antenna and i got the old AM radio a'workin again! dont have the aquired taste to listen to choir/orcheastra/mexican music... but if my truck will play it ill listen to it. just feels cool listening to old school sounding radio in my truck, and to think that this olllldddddd technology is still workin is what i love about my truck! hopefully i can get an AM/FM and put that in. then i can have my tunes.

PS the string broke for the tunning on my AM so thats why i cant change the channel

Re: 1967 Chevy CST aka "the loud truck"

well I don't like being a flake.. I said I would go, and I wanted to go. and I couldn't. so WE'LL SEE WHAT HAPPENS NEXT TIME *WINK WINK* in the mean time I might as well make the truck better and better? thinking about redoing the paint on the dash... its horrible to say the least! and then I think ill take care of some dents and stuff..

there's a 67 at the local pick n pull here in Merced and it has a LWB fleet! the passenger bedside is in perfect shape! the driver side is a little beat but it will do a lot better then my bed side right now. pick n pull said they charge 20 to 30 bucks a bedside depending on if its a dually or if its welded if its bolted. so 40 or 60 bucks and a bunch of labor and I should have some bed sides. I'm planning on cutting them down and start building my dream bed. ill get those cut and welded and body work done perfect, then ill get a floor and a header board and do the body work and primer that then build the bed and put it on the truck. and ill keep the short wood 67 bed that I have right now... maybe use it on the 67 GMC?
