Re: Crash's 69 K10

Picked the bed up at Kyle’s today and took it to the shop.

Kyle is still working on the tailgate. Hopefully it will be ready in a few days.

After I mounted the bed I decided to take it for a little drive to see if the new springs helped the ride. It now rides like a lifted 4x4 SWB. Much better than the old Sherman tank ride. It was worth the effort and time…

I know, I was going to take some of it outside, but I just forgot to do it. To be honest, I have been rushing around all day getting it ready so that I can start on a timing belt/water pump replacement on my Tundra in the morning (137000 miles). I wanted to make sure I had something to drive in case I need something while I have the Tundra tore down. If everything goes well I will get some outside pictures of it tomorrow.

Absolutely stunning! I may have said this before, but I love those wheels. Kyle did a great job for you on the paint and bodywork...very impressive! I think I'll bag working on mine and just stare at your pictures all day

Thanks.. I am pleased.. Tailgate, trim, bed liner, front end alignment, AC charged, and maybe swapping the steering sector out to a later model close ratio box. Wait, are you ever really finished..

The truck looks sweet! Awesome job! And I loved the Betty Boop protective blanket.

Everything is so nice and clean and shiny. It looks great.

Is that a padded 2x4 and a engine hoist you used to lift the bed?

No.. It is a piece of heavy metal c-channel. I used it for both the cab and the bed.
