Was the Rambler dealer next door, or part of the same dealership? Same owner maybe? Great pic, these are the kind I really love.

I believe the Rambler dealership was separate. The Chevrolet dealership was Modern Chevrolet, and it looks like the Rambler dealership was Ideal Rambler. It's really hard to find any information on the history of these dealerships.

From Facebook, I sure like the 60-61 swb bbw with the ultra rare side trim, one desirable truck there

That's a B body Pontiac - like a Catalina (maybe a wagon, judging from the stuff on the roof).

Here is a picture my local Chevy dealer found of his place from 1967. He was a sales person at the dealership then and still runs it today.

Re: Nostalgia - Pics in Time.

Cool picture of Al Rohr Chevrolet in Newton, Illinois. I couldn't believe this picture. I student taught at Newton in 1971. Bought my first new vehicle at Rohr's, a '71 El Camino. Louie Ochs sold it to me. He bought the dealership from Al and still still owns it.

oh the days when you could set up your chair next to the track and the only thing separating you from the action was a flag covered rope.
