The patio is Looking good. I like lattice myself. It looks nice and gives privacy and you can still get a breeze. I've got a little on my patio too.

So when's the hot tub showing up?

Re: What did you do today not on your truck...

We used to sell a 4x8' pvc lattice which installed loose in a u trim to allow for expansion. One of my guys like it so much he installed it all around his pool and deck. After chasing those panels all around the yard every time a thunderstorm blew up he didn't like it nearly as much.

yup, we've had cedar lattice and it fell apart if you looked too hard at it, so we always use vinyl. we've never had our vinyl lattice take off, but i've always put a screw or two into it to stop any flight- dam the expansion...

WE have built some rural jails with a tight budget, that we used steel cell modules in. They arrive on a truck, set 'em with a crane, tack weld them down and fill 'em up.

I thought it was a new idea, until I was in the 1880's jail in Silverton, CO. and saw the steel cell modules there.

What were you in for ???

Have you seen the one in Telluride that was made of something like 2x8's laid down flat? Can't remember exactly ... I was working up on the mountain in the fall of '79. It's about a 10x10 shed with walls of solid wood.

I drove to Kansas City today for meetings the next two days. I didn’t miss this during the Covid lockdown. I hate meetings.

It's crazy funny. Before I retired, I turned down so many jobs because I wasn't willing to leave Montana. Now they are begging or requiring people to work from home. I'm done with it all though

Meetings.

What a waste of time and money.

The only thing that I liked was they would bring in some good food. But towards the end they didn't. They cheaped out. Just horrible dry sandwiches and inedible side dishes.

The last meeting that I went to I saw the garbage that they were bringing in and went to leave. My friend asked me where I was going.

I told him that I was going to Arby's. F this Sh*t. I'll pay for my own lunch.

He said. But it's free.

I didn't care. I left.

So. I'm sitting in Arby's and I see his truck pull up. He walks in and says "You were right" And orders a sandwich.

I told you so.

It may not be the healthiest thing in the world but it sure is good. Better than that cardboard that the were trying pass off as sandwiches at their dumb meeting.

I don't care where it comes from. It's gooood!!!

My girlfriend in high school worked at Arby's and she would load up the sandwiches for me. Yummy! And I would get them for free.

Re: What did you do today not on your truck...

Finally reassembled the 66. Just a couple small things to finish up and I can give it back to my dad so he can do the rest. Then I get to bring my GMC home and get going on it again.

Them Arby meals looks good ,,I know where one is close by and might just go see if I can order what I see above''

Good looking Mustang about to be done,, nice work

After plugging the old hole for the shifter that was in my 39 ,now I next going to glue the carpet down and put the threshold trim back ,,put on the seam cover at the firewall,, just waiting to Sunday and warmer weather to help the glue to spread better.

They don't look like that in reality. (Do they ever) But they're still good.

Re: What did you do today not on your truck...

It snowed here this morning!

I've been feeling like crap the past couple months since I hurt my back. Some days I don't get anything done. This afternoon after the ibuprofen finally kicked in, I cut a problem tree up on the hill and tightened the fence wire that the tree had been impinging.

When I built the fence a few years ago, we didn't own both sides so I couldn't do it right.

Re: What did you do today not on your truck...

So, this is on a truck, but it's my DD, soooo....

Anyway, embarrassed to say I didn't wash my truck, not even once, throughout all of 2020. I'm pretty sure the last time it was cleaned up was fall 2019. Did a full interior detail, spent a lot of time on the outside. It's not like I was mud bogging it and it is garage kept now, so it stays a lot cleaner than it used to. A good heavy downpour now and again would take a lot of the dirt off

I should probably clay bar it sometime this summer.

But, just super happy she cleaned up so well. The new car wash stuff out there with just a pressure washer is pretty amazing... didn't even leave any water spots.

Also, the leather seats make that couch sliding sound again... you know the one, that sound a leather/vinyl couch would make when you were trying to slide over on a first date

Nice setting and lots of hard work you did ,, I like trees and pruning them and leaving them is a much better look
