Re: Here we go!!!

So what is holding you up RRC, you use so much time taking it to shows could have a lot done on the build by now, am I missing something or maybe your waiting for parts...or is it a new thing to take the chassis to car shows before it is done and show it, could be and I just don't know what up these days. Just asking man.

Well I do body work everyday at work and at the end of a hot summer day I really don't feel like doing it after work. So as much as I want it done Family and life comes first. The car shows are a great time to spend with friend family and making new friends. More and more shows are starting to have awards for work in progress. So at the end of the day this is the longest build I have ever done and I need to do things that make it fun or it would turn into one of those builds that never get finished and I haven't had one yet. Hope this helps.

Re: Here we go!!!

The people at the shows really like seeing what goes into the build, and to tell you the truth it has been the most positive experience I have had at shows in a long time

Re: Here we go!!!

I can see that now because most people "never" get to see more than the skin, or outside of a build especially at a car show, they stop, look, then on to the next truck/car, so with yours would be interesting to see what makes it tick, plus yours is far from stock so better yet. Kind of doing us hotrodders a service in teaching people really, kinda cool. So your from Sask, as I am, where have you been showing it and will you make the cruise weekend Aug 21st to 23rd in Saskatoon coming up. I go every year, brought my 68 Pro street Chevelle last year and my 86 Chevy 1 ton the year before, this year just going to listen to the bands and car show on Sunday, would be cool if you were there to meeet in person.

Mostly around here....I haven't thought about Saskatoon but we'll see what happens. I really want to go to Red Deer for Super Run Aug.2&3.

Re: Here we go!!!

Well your sure close to Saskatoon from Moose Jaw. The Super run is supposed to be all that too, have a few friends that have been part of it and just can't quit talking about it. Quite a ways from up here in the sticks where I live but saskatoon isn't bad, about 6 hours to get there. Well if it works out will look forward to seeing you, if not have a good summer.

Re: Here we go!!!

We usually go to Super Run in Saskatoon, just want to get out to Alberta to meet up with some guys out there. I haven't been to the cruise weekend since I had my 69 Camaro back in the late 80's. So if I do head up i'll be sure to let you know.

Re: Here we go!!!

Would be cool if it works out, ya let me know. A buddy of mine and myself are heading down friday to stay downtown at the hoilday inn and come back on monday. The rockin the river old school bands was just awesome to go to and a lot of good bands again this year over 3 days again so good weekend no matter what. Take care and happy building, hope you get a bit more time to yourself on the truck.
Rick.
