Re: 68 S/C update.....
I would put the battery in the rt rear corner. It would help with weight transfer!

Wow! This truck has come a long way! Awesome! As someone with a LSx swapped truck, I can tell you that you will love it! ESPECIALLY since you are boosted! Woohoo! Vids ASAP!

Re: 68 S/C update.....
I got some more parts in today. The Caddy tranny pan should give me about another inch or so of ground clearance. Also, I didn't want to use the Camaro plastic e-pedal, so I called John at Speartech and he recommend using an 05 and up Corvette pedal. So I picked up a brand new GM one off Ebay for only $50 shipped, . I should be able to modify my pedal mount that I got from ROKCRWLN to make it fit in the truck easily. Best thing is, the rubber pedal pad is exacly identical to the 71-72 Truck pedal pad!!!!!! I was able to pull the CST trim off of my old pedal and it fit on the new pedal pad perfectly

That's incredible. I need to see what all is involved in switching my pedal over. I know the connector is different. Anything else special I would need to do?

Thanks Rus! Here's a few pictures of the mock up mount that I built out of aluminum. I just wanted to make sure I liked the pedal placement. Now, I'll build another out of 3/16th steel.

Re: 68 S/C update.....
Thats awesome with the pedal. So cool the trim fits. Who would have thought 40 years later GM is still using the same parts! Well, not really but cool none the less!

Re: 68 S/C update.....
I was wondering if you can show me how you routed your fuel lines from the frame rails to the fuel rails. I am having a hard time routing mine without the exhaust being a problem. Awesome work as always. Thanks Daniel.

Re: 68 S/C update.....
Awesome build! I've taken a lot of notes between this thread and a few others. I'm still in the planning phases but the motor has been ordered. Any interest in making another gas pedal mount when you make yours? I can't wait to see it finished

Re: 68 S/C update.....
Very nice work on the pedal. Too bad it only works for 2005 up. I had to hack my 2003 HERE pedal to make it work.

Looking great! I like the six pack holder.
The caddy tranny cover swap is nice. I noticed when I did my mock up that it does hang a little low! If you would hurry up and finish yours, you could take a vacation back to NM and help me finish mine! John
