A change of mind to not mix&match the engine's top-end hardware, installed an Edelbrock carb for her first drive.

Thanks I think each of us can attest to how cold it's been. The streets aren't clear enough for me to be driving. My brother wants to finish this up asap, and I agree. It's been a long stretched out project. Shouldn't be too much longer and I'll fire her up again.
