A city slicker moved in down the road from me and, when he was unsuccessful sprouting chickens, decided to raise pigs. He bought a purebred sow, and now, being smart enough to read a book about how to farm, he read that if you want to have piglets, you need to have the sow visit a boar.

So one day he put the sow in his wheelbarrow and trundled her down the road to a neighbor who had a boar.

The next morning, he opened up the bedroom curtains and looked out at the pig pen, but there were no piglets!

So he put the sow in the wheelbarrow and trundled her back to his neighbor’s farm.

The next morning, again, he opened up the curtains, sure that THIS time there would be piglets, but no, just the sow all by herself in the pen.

So he put the sow in the wheelbarrow again and trundled her off to the neighbor’s farm.

The next morning, the anticipation was killing him, but he didn’t dare look, so he asked his wife to peek out and tell him if there were any piglets.

"Nope", she replied, "but the sow is in the wheelbarrow".

Saturday was Mrs. Bee's birthday, took her and her folks out to one of our favorites, Captain Jack's..

appetizers, cocktails, and dinner wrapped up about five bills but we had a great time, well worth it..

and yes, I cleaned that roast all the way to the bone

Been watching a lot of roadkill and roadkill garage in my down time lately. Seeing those guys get a 1950 gmc running that had been sitting in a jy for 30ish years gets me pretty pumped to get Rhonda running. Also watching them drop a 454 in a long bed c10 and hit some awesome doughnuts helps too.

To each his own, but I have never understood the donut thing.

Now I like burning rubber in a straight line as well as anybody, and I think my attitude goes back to my grade school days.

A redneck teenager in town had acquired a late fifties Pontiac boat and one day he was circling the school doing right turns and burning the right rear tire. They weren't really donuts, just circles burning that tire. It was so unimpressive I don't like donuts to this day.

I do get a kick out of Roadkill. I can't believe they get paid for what I have paid to do all my life.

It looks like the show just got commercialized though.

I could of never got (even 1/4 of a donnut in with my folks car) I used to go to a short racing strip that the guys used to race against each other,, and got maybe 6 inches to a foot of rubber.. and the only reason it got that was it was slick tar pavement.................... It was a 1952 Plymouth 6 banger..

Speaking of burning out. Back in high school a buddy had a 62 ford galaxie that was so worn out it wouldn't turn a tire. We tried to help him out by pouring some motor oil under the tire and it STILL barely turned it.

Whipping Donuts, if you don't like them you should lose your man card. Doing them in a 4 door long bed 4x4 has to be up there in the most fun. Haha

My Uncle used to store his 63 Corvette convertible at my parent's place when I was a kid. My dad did a lot of work on the car over the years. But my Uncle never put enough into the engine apparently. My Dad had a 68 GS400 convertible. Every time Uncle John would come home he'd tell Dad that the Buick had to be worn out enough to not beat his vette. They'd go run them and when they came back Dad would go whip cookies in the pasture. Those were fun times.

Back in the mid-'70s one of my younger brothers and I went down to the store for ice cream for one of our niece's/nephew's birthday parties. We went into the back parking lot, and my brother spun an entire shop's worth of doughnuts in that parking lot. There was smoke boiling out of the trunk so bad that we had to roll the windows down on the way home. We were laughing like hyenas when we got home!

I don't care what others do. I just don't tear my stuff up for the pure sake of showing off or trying to impress. I also never hooked my 4wd to another in a parking lot pissing contest. I watch the burnout contest every year at Carlisle Trucks. I've had friends leave a hot black double track out in front of my house. But for me a burnout is how you heat your tires for better traction before pulling up to the tree.

Welp, I was wadering around the neighborhood yesterday, pushing my napping kiddo and ended up spotting a 84-87 gmc. Rough paint but solid, also spotted two under cover cars and played the guessing game. Got pretty close on one. I was thinking 3rd Gen camaro, but ended up being a 87 trans am. Nice old fella named Norm (73) was the owner looking to sell. His wife recently had a stroke and he's trying to get it out of his driveway. Told him my wife would kill me if I brought another project home. Plus I'm not really into the 3rd Gen trans am. But I posted it up on Craigslist for him and am gonna make sure scammers don't rip him off. I might swing by his place this afternoon and see if we can get it fired up, so it'll sell quicker. The other mystery car I didn't get confirmation on but I'm pretty sure it's a 66-67 chevelle or similar. I could see a rally wheel and blue rocker peeking from the cover. Man, as soon as I finish Rhonda, I'm hunting for a 66 chevelle. I'd like to go ls and matching trans on a holly efi and daily drive it. Nice seeing some other project cars in the neighborhood. Seems like it's hard to find guys my age (29) still into wrenching on old cars for fun. All my (few) friends are into games and don't speak car beyond dropping it off at the dealer for a oil change.

What a wife!

A police officer pulls over a speeding car. The officer says, "I clocked you at 80 miles per hour, sir."
The driver says, "Goodness, officer, I had it on cruise control at 60; perhaps your radar gun needs calibrating."
Not looking up from her knitting the wife says: "Now don't be silly, dear -- you know that this car doesn't have cruise control"

As the officer writes out the ticket, the driver looks over at his wife and growls, "Can't you please keep your mouth shut for once!!?"
The wife smiles demurely and says, "Well dear you should be thankful your radar detector went off when it did or your speed would have been higher."

As the officer makes out the second ticket for the illegal radar detector unit, the man glowers at his wife and says through clenched teeth, "Woman, can't you keep your mouth shut?"

The officer frowns and says, "And I notice that you're not wearing your seat belt, sir. That's an automatic $75 fine".
The driver says, "Yeah, well, you see, officer, I had it on, but I took it off when you pulled me over so that I could get my license out of my back pocket."
The wife says, "Now, dear, you know very well that you didn't have your seat belt on. You never wear your seat belt when you're driving."

And as the police officer is writing out the third ticket, the driver turns to his wife and barks, "WILL YOU PLEASE SHUT UP??"
The officer looks over at the woman and asks, "Does your husband always talk to you this way, Ma'am?"
