You may have better luck in the 73-87 forum. I'm interested though because I'm seriously considering those same gauges.

Re: How about some pics of 88-98 Part II
Sorry away for a few days…
It's a 69 Coronet 500 (R/T clone), it was originally a 318 car, but now has a 440 under the hood (even though the hood says 383)… I just finished putting a new exhaust and new BFG's on it. It's a console car with an automatic, that is going to be swapped for a 4 speed (if not a 6 speed) in the future. There are no plans to run a Hemi, I'm keeping it a 440, but stroking it to 512CI, when the stock 440 gives out… It's a 20 foot car and has it's issues, but it's a solid driver. Plans for this winter are new gauges and an A12 style lift off hood. I'm also going to do away with the R/T stuff, I'm not much for clones and would rather build as a customized 500… I like it because Coronets are rare, I see more Plymouth Satellites then Coronets around my area…

Re: How about some pics of 88-98 Part II
First post... been a lurker for a while, but I thought I'd post up a pic of my recently acquired 96 Dually Suburban. K2500 with a conversion done by someone. I found it cheap and thought it was weird and cool so I snagged her up. It's turning out to be an awesome truck with some work here and there. Some hate these and some love em. Anyways, here she is!

Re: How about some pics of 88-98 Part II
I would LOVE a dually Suburban.
A few years ago this one was for sale at a dealership a friend of mine works for. I tried convincing the wife that we NEEDED it, but she wasn't going for it. It was a '93 with only 43,200 miles. Leather seats, dual moonroofs, 454. Man how I wanted that thing. |

Re: How about some pics of 88-98 Part II
Technically, this is a 2000 GMC, but since it's in the 88-98 body style, I figure it fits here:

Re: How about some pics of 88-98 Part II
It took me three years to find the right crew cab. I still want a 47-53 crew cab but since I'll probably have to build it to get what I want, it'll never happen

The crew cab looks good. They are hard to find in these years, well at least find one that isn't beat to death.

Re: How about some pics of 88-98 Part II
Nice looking truck, I can't agree more about what a nice daily driver the scsb makes. I was lucky enough to find an Arizona truck in New England. Our weather is not kind to them here. Good luck with the new ride.

This is my 97 Z71. Truck just hit 611,000 miles.Currently has a G oodwrench L31 crate with Ramjet cam & some custom tuning.Modified 4L60E. Currently rebuilding the original L31 that was pulled at 248,000 miles.Still undecided if i'm going 383, or, not. Most likely will.

Re: How about some pics of 88-98 Part II
Quite a bit has been done since I've last posted it. Brush guard, bedrails cut to go into the toolbox, took all the bondo off of my roof(1/2in of it) and bedlined it... looks goofy with a black roof, but its better than rust. I also undercoated the wheel wells and the frame and bedlined the bed rails. Oh! I also got a new dashboard along with two 10' subs, new speakers, and a Bluetooth kenwood radio. EDIT: forgot that I took this picture.. haha Last edited by 91z71; 06-03-2016 at 04:13 AM. |

Re: How about some pics of 88-98 Part II
Special-K I am also a fan of the W/T grille as the seal beam lights stay clear forever. I painted mine a bright german silver left over from a benz i repaired.
The emblem came from a 30's vintage Chevy my buddy had it in his living room. I convinced him it belonged on my truck. It probably came of a truck like your avatar. |

Bought this 95 Sierra about 9 mos. ago. New member here. Has Rough Country 2" front drop spindles, 4" drop in the rear. American racing 20' torq thrust wheels. Custom stereo w/fiberglassed door panels that I made. Next in line is a rear link set up.
