Re: 67 cheby's Dropmember build thread
Thats ok they always cost more then what you think they are going to cost. I try to budget my builds but it never works. I always spend 15 to 20% more than what I budget for. Keep up the good work.

Theres a school at PPG that teaches how to use there paints . Maibe there willing to use youre truck as a teachingtool or demonstrationmodel , it couldnt hurt to ask them the guy that gave the course was Paul Stoll hes a paint proffessor at ppg and might be the best guy to ask at PPG as he gives the course PPG industries 11276 Fifth St. Suite 500 Rango Cucamonga CA 91730 909-987-0924 www.ppg.com

Re: 67 cheby's Dropmember build thread
where you going to tuck the Fiberglas in are you going to hide the edge where the mdf stops now or are you going to go up and over until the bottom pinch weld under the rear window and hide it under the rubber
if you do the last you can make it surround the seats and close the gaps to the rearwall when go that way you prolly will have to shape it out of styrofoam or greatstuff expandingfoam sprayed ontoo it (cover metal , back of the seats and rearwindow with clingfilm or painterstape so you can pull it off and it doesnt go or stick where it shouldnt go when its ready ) to contour it to the shape of the box back of the seats and rearwhall once its set you can saw file cut and sand the blobs intoo the shape you want before slapping bondo over it sand some more cover it in glassmat sand some more (whell you get my drift ), its kindah like building a surfboard and its faster in getting the bulging contours of the whall and the fitting towarth the seat as it kindah grows against it before setting , if you want to safe some weight or just go fancy you could either hollow out the existing product untill you hit the glassfiber or pull a mothermould of the finished product and use that to rebuild it out of poliester

Re: 67 cheby's Dropmember build thread
that one tucks in at the same spot as youre mdf is now , you might need to shave a little off the mdf to get it to fit with the soaked fleece pulled over it , he mightve made a seperate piece to go to the rearwindow im not sure , it does look verry nice though
to make the fleece that close to the amps top you need to frame those in mdf as whell if you build a small pictureframe out of thin plywood or plexy or metal to fit flush inside a groove cut in the mdf frame you can make the big mdf frame big enough to clear the connections and still cover the connections on youre amps and still get to it when you take the pictureframe off you can mount that pictureframe invisible with velcro strips or magnets
