Post 1048, The truck backed up to the pond with the equipment mounted in the bed looks like a mosquito control vehicle with the fogger at work. Was familiar with those back the day.

My Dad and myself in 1976. Sierra Nevadas above the Mohave Desert. Grandpa Pappy took the pic! Pappy was a photographer with good film...lol. These are all slide scans.

Re: Vintage picture thread

Great pictures. Dad got him a winch! I like everything about that truck. Every accessory and all. I miss those tool boxes. They were my favorite. Dad had great taste in everything he did. He was in the know when it came to that truck, a no BS get out there western truck.

I probably showed this one I had a short while while living in AZ. This would have been '80 or '81

Here is my 1970 Blazer in May 1976 at the inaugural Caton Community Days event. At that time, it wore a modified Federal Visibar with added beacons.

Re: Vintage picture thread

At the same event, here is the town's 1969 K20 "unit M15" in the parade. I personally sat in this truck in 1993, when it had just over 9000 miles. It was painted slime green at that point. It was then sold off to another small local fire dept., then I lost track of it.

A few 1973 or newer vehicles in that shot, such as a Nova, Ford F series, the Chevelle, and the GM trucks

This is Coleman Brothers Speed Shop, world class. They did all my machine work. You could also run your ideas by Dave or Bill and they'd spend whatever time required to thoroughly discuss, explain, and recommend. They would tell you NOT to buy what you came in for if it meant better performance. Dave could draw up a better diagram upside down than others right side up as he explained. These guys are geniuses. In that front building was House Of Balance and Ladd's Porting Service. some serious winners came out of that piece of property. A lot of Badass street racing on US1 between Baltimore and DC

Anyway, I just noticed the Panel truck so this fits here

I see the Nova bumpercar. Man I hated '73 when that total BS happened. The idea was to reduce damage claims in 5mph accidents to save the ultra rich insurance industry money. How did we get to expensive bumpers, a painted part of the body, that just fall off now?

1970cstblazer, cool parade shot of your truck.

Recently found this 1977 photo of my future father-in-law in serious “repair mode”…all he needed was a couple of sockets and a BF screwdriver!

Besides his ‘71 Suburban, you can see my best friend’s ‘70 Boss 302 Mustang in the background…boy, those were the days!

That's an awesome photograph of Coleman Brothers speed shop. If you were into drag racing back in the day, they were the go to shop.

You’ve got that right, Sheepdip…had that conversation with him this past Saturday and learned that he actually found his recently not more than 3 miles from his home (which is far away from where he had sold it decades ago). Owner didn’t want to sell…and value was way out of reality anyway!
