Re: Lurker OrrieG Progress Pics
Will blocking found a small bubble in the driver lower fender. Pecked at it with my body hammer and found an area about 1" wide x 3" high and down into the curve at the bottom. Luckily the brace is ok. Cut it out until I got to good metal and hit it with metal prep rust converter stuff. Welded in the patch, grind little plastic and good to go. Glad I found it before paint. Checked the other side, its good.

Glad to see you are still making headway. Buckets look fresh. Just got new adjusters in the mail yesterday. dug

Just blocking and prepping for paint. Have to do a bunch of woodworking for the house, so am going to get the wood for the bed and get it cut and fitted.

Even when things are going too slow to post, your build is still entertaining to revisit to pickup some handy tips. Thanks...dug

Re: Lurker OrrieG Progress Pics
Painted the wheels and fenders and grill parts that will be hidden when assembled. When paint is nice and hard will post a pic with the caps. Tried to mask and paint the crudy caps, now I know why guys just strip and polish them. I had to strip about 4 coats of paint off the wheels, clean up scratches and rust, get dings and straightens the sides, etch prime, prime, sand, sealer, base and clear. All together I have about 3 hours in per wheel!

Re: Lurker OrrieG Progress Pics
Thanks guys, not much progress. Life (adult daughter health issue) and too much real work have gotten in the way. Did get my trans pan swapped out, trans shift seal replaced (tip go to NAPA and get a $8 tool to remove it) and front fog lights cleaned up and switch wired. I hate pulling one more wire thru the loom! Will post some pics of lights when I get them mocked up, here is a post of what they will look like, not my truck, but farther apart, I do not have the bumper guards.

Re: Lurker OrrieG Progress Pics
Is it just me or why do Kim's replies waste countless hours of time checking thread reply emails?
Kim? How about adding something helpful instead? Respectfully I ask.

I appreciate positive words of encouragement and Kim always has a good word. These builds are a lot of work, time, frustration, money....and a positive word helps.
