Digging the gold and the engine. I'd be too keen to start it up just to hear that rumble haha. Too early yet though. What's next on the bucket list and have you done any more to the interior?

I mocked up the filler as well. So I cutout all of the rear panel (tube will run through here) I'll be using 1 3/4 o.d tube and will all be welded and have 1 rubber connection between the tube and tank.

Pic 2. Close up of filler (popup style)

Pic 3. Here I was figuring out the angle for the 1st tube.

Pic 4. the 1st tube welded up, this will then be welded to the next extension.

I forgot to mention, This will All be removable

This is genius!!! I have an S10 gas tank so I could totally use the front stake pocket in the same way. Where did you find the pop up cap?

Re: "Project Orangepeel" 52 A.D

I picked up the cap from Summit.

https://www.summitracing.com/parts/bkc-48-9606?seid=srese1&gclid=CjwKCAjw36DpBRAYEiwAmVVDMLtvC5roPoCY7wmk1DSN7KVSTSh6e5kK899i8AEJCTbakXY8q__rO BoC4R8QAvD_BwE

As far as the interior goes I am in the middle of several things in the works.
power windows,A/C,door pulls, inside levers for the doors and still need to build my console.

Re: "Project Orangepeel" 52 A.D

Well look what showed up on Amazon this week Ready to start fabbing this weekend and see how it works. Crazy coincidence, I wanted to put it right behind the cab in that stake pocket and you mentioned you cut a piece out of your bed rail cause it was damaged. I walked out to mine and low and behold, I have a dent/crack in the steel above my chosen stake pocket. Thanks for the idea!

Re: "Project Orangepeel" 52 A.D

Playing with fitment. The stake pocket has a lot more room than I thought! Going to run some exhaust pipe to the bottom since that will be permanent. Then I can run rubber from the bottom of the pipe to the tank for replacing it in 20 yrs when the fuel hose dries out.

Don't know if I noticed in your earlier post. How did you handle the vent tube since its a venting cap. Did you just tie it back into the filler hose??

Ran into some issues on my exhaust pipe idea. It looks like I'm going to have to try some 2" flexible fuel pipe to route around the corners then some kind of reducer to get to the S10 tank. Slight mod to mine is I noticed I can sit the motorcycle cab in the hole in the top and if I ever need to replace the tube, I can pull the whole contraption out through the sheet metal cut out. Will show some pics when I get that far. For now, gotta figure out how to get to the fuel tank from the stake pocket I've already cut out.

Re: "Project Orangepeel" 52 A.D

Yes it takes alot of planning,I must say.
If you have welding TIG wire or metal hangers you can make templates for the shapes you need to make the corners etc.
