so what do you think about the mat you got since you've started to use it? still pretty easy to work with? I'll be interested to know as well how well it works...

Man, this is my favorite build on the site! You are doing an awesome job, and coming along very quickly. Your AC looks awesome and really makes me think I might go that direction. I don't have the cash for one of the aftermarket systems right now, and am going to put my radio in a center console down the road. I know you had the whole donor truck, but what do you think the cost would be for an AC system like that from a salvage? AWESOME BUILD!

Maybe $200 to $350 for everything.

Thanks for loving my build.

I really love it and it works very well. I had seen some people use it sparingly and I will have to say that the metal sounds pretty tinny 6 inches away from a spot you have applied with mat. I think slathering the whole thing makes the most sense. I need a 3rd box to do the doors inside and out. I did feel a little like Tar Baby last night trying to keep it from sticking to my fingers and everything else before I had it perfectly positioned.

Re: ** YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN ** The truck Chevrolet should have built.

We started in on the roof tonight on ladders. Finding plenty of low spots with our long boards. None were very deep, so we used the glaze to fill. We'll let it dry overnight and do it again tomorrow.

I'm still stuck with how to do a custom headliner, any suggestions?

Drew,
Have you checked with any interior upholstery shops? Maybe you can do one of those old school hog ring mounted headliners like the 60's and early 70's cars had?

I'd say the simplest ad most cost effective solution would be to get some material either ABS or the upholstry backer material, have someone cover it in material to match the seats and/or door panels, and then simply glue it on or use industrial strength velcro to attach it.

Can use foam under the headliner to make a pattern if wanted
