Here I have done what I hope is my final door assembly.
Although I have to tell you, if there is a trick to getting a door hung all by yourself, I have yet to figure it out.... Two little hinges should not require so much adjusting.
As I was working on these doors, I had written a note to myself to not forget to emplace a small sheet of plastic for wind barrier. When it came time to get this plastic, I was about to cut up some painters drop sheets, but was mentally whining about chopping up perfectly good sheet of plastic.
Then I flashed on all the wonderful bubble wrap Brothers sent me with all the cool stuff I ordered from them !!
I am thinking this should help with wind, sound, and insulation...
I put it in place with a roll of Postal Tape, I figure that stuff should be pretty tough, but not forever like Duct Tape...
For the record, I love the Post Office, I wish they got more credit than they do for the job they have.


And all together now...



Then I was looking at the heater vent extension I made, and never did like how big and bulkly it looked under the dash. So I made a new one that has a lower profile and should disburse the warm air a bit better than cooking the passenger's left kneecap.

I guess in a day or so I will load up the video I shot today.
It kinda shows everything I got done these past 2 weeks.

Hey Murph, I am having fun for sure. I will post an update in a week or two, kind of making a bit of progress in a number of areas, but nothing post worthy. In a week or two I will post up something big, and all the small stuff. I thoroughly enjoy following about 110 build threads on here, and learning so much as I go. Door(s) look great buddy! I used a chair to install my doors, I sat the door on it and bolted the hinges to the cab and they were hung and ready to be adjusted. No hernia either...lol

love it man those doors look so good! im really starting to take a liking to the grays and silvers here recently.

and for the doors when i hung mine i used a jack stand on one end and you can lower or raise it to help get them set up.

Well,
I have pretty much finished the interior of my cab.
As soon as I get around to posting the video to YouTube, I will link it here for you guys !!

I just have to do the door seals, clean up and install the sun visors, and get the seat upholstered at this point.

In the mean time, I did my horn button.
All I did was fill in the spokes and the center with a gloss model paint black.
It looks a lot more crisp in person.
I realize after all the other over the top mods and stuff I am doing to this build, this probably seems to be underplayed.

In all the builds I have seen here, I have yet to see a horn button like this one.

Ok hopefully I linked this right today ...... LOL

This was a one take shot.
The music was not dubbed in, it is playing on the stereo I intalled with all 7 speakers pumping the tunes. I have to say the sound is clear and a joy to listen to (I put a lawn chair in the cab, and treated myself to a couple hours of song surfing and beers after I shot this) !!!

Hopefully this video will show all the mods I have done to the dash and back wall. I realize the speakers in the dome light are hard to see, and I apologize for this. I only wish I had turned on the dash lights before I turned on the garage lights.

At this point the carpet is in, shifter mounted, all the sound system installed and working, new glovebox, and all the other odds and ends you may have to pause the video play to look at.
All that is left to install is the seat, steering wheel, and sun visors at this time.

I did sound deadner the cab corners, that is why they show up looking like foil. I thought about shooting them with some flat black paint, but i like the way they reflect the cab lights.
Speaking of which, I installed 4 of the LED blue accent light pods in each corner of the cab. They are controled by the headlight switch and the door jamb switches, just like real courtesy lights.

Please dont mind the dirty windows... this place drives me crazy with how hard it is to keep stuff clean, and now that Spring has arrived all the pollen is insane !!

Sounds awesome! I bought the same receiver for my Silverado and really like it. That blinky-light jazz gets a little annoying after about five seconds of night driving so I just picked a color combo that matched the OEM gauge colors. That is a pretty cool feature. Truck is looking good man!
