Re: 1965/73 Cheap Build Up
That's what I've been told. We never had a problem with our other trailer that had a Generac. This is a Onan Generator, and they said that carb plugs up easer than the Generac. The carb is only $160, that's why they call it a throw away carb. Everybody I talked to say the same thing. I tried, and they're right.

Re: 1965/73 Cheap Build Up
Glad you liked the art work... it was a slow day at work.
That was my first time messing around with MS Paint. I liked the way yours turned out so good, I started one on my rig. Seems no one wants to have surgery over the holidays, go figure.... We have a generator on our land from before we had the power lines ran. I just ran it dry with a little of the Stabilize in it, and never have a problem. I also used that Stabilize when we stored our Pontiacs for the 3 years we were in Hawaii, came back with an air pump for the tires and a fresh battery, and fresh gas and they all started right up. Good to hear you had a fun time camping, and it was a good Thanksgiving all around!!

Re: 1965/73 Cheap Build Up
Glad you had a good Turkey Day. They told me to never use a gas stabilizer. so they can sell more carburetors.

Re: 1965/73 Cheap Build Up
If you look at my Tempest link you will see all 4 of the Ponitacs we had stored for those 3 years, a 66 a 69 and a pair of 72s. The 69 was the only one that didnt run, so all the other 3 got the Stabilizer and that was from May 06 until we got them down to Louisiana in Oct 09....
Each one was stored individually in a 10x25 unit in Southern Oklahoma. Dont know if that would have any factor to it or not, but never had a problem them. We are down to only one 72 and the 66 now...

Re: 1965/73 Cheap Build Up
Went to the Mooneyes Christmas Show today. So many 60-66 Chevy trucks were there. I only took a few compared to how many were there. Lots of ones not worthy of a picture.
Enjoy: http://belair.smugmug.com/Cars/2011-...1060007-XL.jpg

Re: 1965/73 Cheap Build Up
Not much going on with the 65, but I just picked up a 50 Stude Truck for a friend. I'll be doing some work on it later on. I offered to swap his 17" Torque Thrust's with my Cragers. He's thinking about it, but I doubt it will happen.

Re: 1965/73 Cheap Build Up
Lots of small repairs to the body. The Chevy bed needs a lot of attention. I also need to finish up an unfinished frame shortening.

Re: 1965/73 Cheap Build Up
I should be post 1667 on this thread at this point, watching it from the beginning.
More posts on everything else but your build. LOL Apart from that, it's probably the most entertaining thread I follow. My neighbor is a Studebaker nut. Has 2 right now, a 52 2 door and a 53 4 door. I'll bet he would jump in his car hauler today if the Studebaker truck was for sale. Have a Great Holiday Season and it sure would be nice to see that lil 65 from time to time here.
