Re: How about some pics of '73-'87 Short Beds Part II

Hi

I'm new to this site and I'm pretty much interested with starting a C-10 project between 76-83 models , any suggestions you could recommend like: Where could I shop for a C-10 unit, How could I start restoring a project truck and any recommendations for shops around San Francisco or California where I could ask around for hot rod shops or shops who specialize in C-10 restomod services?

Thanks Guys

Well if your looking to buy best bet is take someone with you that knows about trucks and what to look for, not all deals are as good as they look on the outside, then start looking at what you find in accordance to your budget, nice to find a project mostly done and finish it but all depends on what you are capable of. Good luck.

Your best bet for advice would be to back up to the top of this particular forum, and hit the "Post new thread" button. Your question will get alot more attention that way.

The 77 shorty will be a nice project, just trading my 73 K10 shorty for a street bike then can concentrate on my 71 K10, keep posting, interesting to see the build.

Re: How about some pics of '73-'87 Short Beds Part II

Here's my 86 K10. This pic is probably 10 years old, it's not as nice these days, but still a good truck. My plan is to freshen up the suspension and do an 5.3 swap. Got 2 kids in college, so waiting on them to get finished up so I can have some extra cash.

jkk, Very nice truck! I see that those pics are from the Whataburger cruise night on Thursday on Gilmer Road. It's near impossible to make those with my boy playing football on Thursday nights. I hope to make the on in October since he does not have a game that week. Hope to see you there!

Here's my 86. Just got it a few weeks ago. Today I rebuilt the rear brakes. The passenger rear brake cylinder was leaking like crazy.
