Re: What did you do to your truck today part III
Re-rednecked my sound system. First I dropped a pair of Sony house speakers in my truck box, then wired it up to the stereo system, using a set of house light switches to avoid being too obnoxious to the world. However, when I do need the noise, they'll come in handy.

Re: What did you do to your truck today part III
Pulled everything on the dash, along with the stock heater, and seats. I have a new sound system and Vintage Air system to install. Couple long work days ahead, hoping to get it all installed in the next two days. But I am very excited to work on it. Installing a bunch of Fat Mat while I have it all out as well. I already had Peel 'n Seal and some closed cell foam, but the 454 still invades the cab. But I didn't do a very good job with full coverage I am seeing once I pulled up the floor mat. Hoping for lower sound levels.

What I did the past month. Removed my interior And painted light fawn even though its a 66, tinted windows, new tinted windshield with custom chrome trim, new firewall trim, visors, door seals, glove box light "for wife", powder coated air vent boxes. And just started with a new deck on original bumper "Connell Chevrolet Killeen Texas", new spray gun is coming in handy! Thanks everyone for the motivation.

Replaced a rocker nut that kept loosening, engine is quiet. Filled it with gas, and took a nice long drive. I'm loving this thing. Can't believe I brought it back from the dead.

Re: What did you do to your truck today part III
Thank you Don. Received the missing turn signal cover today. Painted the outer part of the instrument cluster this morning. All that is left is to paint the inner part the jade color I picked up last night. 1 step closer...

Re: What did you do to your truck today part III
I swapped out my dist today. I bought the Mallory a while back and it had a faulty module. Of course Mallory didn't care so I bought Summits kit with new coil and module. I finally put it in today. I am wondering how the truck was running with this cap. I have a feeling I was going to have total failure soon. I drove to LA and back with that Dist, 900 miles total. I also cleaned the front of the carb. It was filthy.

Re: What did you do to your truck today part III
Haha! Thanks, but it's a 30 footer that needs a lot of body work. Solid drive train and suspension - all completely redone. Ready to drive. I had to put it together and reward myself. It's been 4 years and I have not driven it EVER! Except for a quickie up and down the street. Tags and plates go on next week. Then I will keep driving it as a work in progress/daily driver.

Re: What did you do to your truck today part III
I got tired of seeing my grill twisted on the right side.
So I thought I would pull it apart and see what was wrong. before pic. here it is removed simple fix. rivets gone, here it is put back together. on to the rear. Picked up some Delrin tailgate trunnions from 1966chevy (tmdenis on ebay) great product. very satisfied.
