Re: My Facetruck thread.

Great weather here this weekend, perfect. I had a good family weekend, too.

I came upon this and think many will get a kick out of it. Plenty of vehicles to get your fill, but way more than that. 1960:

Re: My Facetruck thread.

OK Facetruck buddies. I have an offer on my "Man Cave". If I except this offer, I will need to sell a bunch of my stock pile. I have several cabs and SWB chassis that take up lots of space.

What do you guys/gals think the title should go with, cabs or chassis's? And what is the going rate for each? The cabs I have are spotless with NO rust. Most of the chassis's I have already switched to "71/"72 5 lug.

Re: My Facetruck thread.

I'd keep the plate with the chassis. People buy cabs for existing trucks and can keep their numbers straight using their own. A frame will be more desirable with VIN-plate for converting long bed truck to short, or just building a shortbed from scratch. A frame w/o a title is an orphan, a cab is not

Re: My Facetruck thread.

I came here to let everyone know I have made a decision I feel really great about. It's about my '67 project paint color. I've always said I never decide, or say, till I'm on my way to the paint store on the exact color. The interior will now be black when I originally had red for it. So that opened things wide for paint choices. Yep, the color I just landed on is a sure thing. I always liked it, it's factory, even for '67, and will help keep the modest nature I like for my vehicles. I always like to weigh in as many things as come to mind when making a decision and I feel I'm at a Eureka moment. Just feels good to be able to picture it now, complete. A real motivator.

With my memory I better write it down on something and put it where I know I can find it.... Shoot. Oh well, I'm sure I'll come up with it or some other good one when the time comes.

Helicopter Ride

Walter took his wife Ethel to the state fair every year, and every time he would say to her, "Ethel, you know that I'd love to go for a ride in that helicopter." But Ethel would always reply, "I know that Walter, but that helicopter ride is 50 dollars and 50 dollars is 50 dollars."

Finally, they went to the fair, and Walter said to Ethel, "Ethel, you know I'm 87 years old now. If I don't ride that helicopter this year, I may never get another chance." Once again Ethel replied, "Walter, you know that helicopter is 50 dollars and 50 dollars is 50 dollars."

This time the helicopter pilot overheard the couple's conversation and said, "Listen folks, I'll make a deal with you. I'll take both of you for a ride; if you can both stay quiet for the entire ride and not say a word I won't charge you! But if you say just one word, it's 50 dollars."

Walter and Ethel agreed and up they went in the helicopter. The pilot performed all kinds of fancy moves and tricks, but not a word was said by either Walter or Ethel. The pilot did his death-defying tricks over and over again, but still there wasn't so much as one word said. When they finally landed, the pilot turned to Walter and said, "Wow! I've got to hand it to you. I did everything I could to get you to scream or shout out, but you didn't. I'm really impressed!"

Walter replied, "Well to be honest I almost said something when Ethel fell out but, you know, 50 dollars is 50 dollars!"

Aw man, that would suck. Ready to go and some badass comes up and messes it all up for you. Hopefully the biker's wife is a grateful fox, he had a big life insurance policy, and her dog doesn't bite. Cancel the cards. Get a duplicate license.

Larry,,,I heard that one before ,,it is a good one that is not telling until the end,, Good one

Say. my relatives sit out a tornado warning couple days ago and was wondering if it came through your area.. do you have a storm shelter ? My SiS had one on the lake near Morrillton ,but her kids moved her to Russeville and had to leave the shelter..

That storm front stretched all the way from Up in Missouri to south Arkansas. There was a gap in the middle of the front and it went right over us. We didn't even notice the storm, just a little rain.
