Re: LS1 into a 73 cheyenne
Next move is to drop engine in. Then hang front clip then spray the entire exterior all at once, with bed off . The inside of the bed will be done first then masked off for exterior pass.
I have the mounts and hardware ready. Stainless steel mounts with some 12 pt ARP bolts With a CPP trans mount and new trans mount bolts.

Re: LS1 into a 73 cheyenne
I realized I didn’t have enough mid coat aka candy since it’s so translucent u need to apply a good wet coat to make it visible. So I had to get another gallon from a connection in Nevada since it not sold in CA.
I also had to get another gallon of clear, so I’m in 3 gallons of clear.

Re: LS1 into a 73 cheyenne
Frame needs some attention it’s filthy from all the water sanding. Unavoidable auto body refinishing is messy

Re: LS1 into a 73 cheyenne
It just needs a good wash, scrub and rinse with a soft brush or sponge.
It will be time consuming with all the intricate parts.

Re: LS1 into a 73 cheyenne
Before I install any glass or seals mirrors handles, I will color sand it and buff it.

Re: LS1 into a 73 cheyenne
It's looking fantastic man! Can't hardly imagine how it will look after the color sand and buff. What's the GM name for that color? It looks the same or very similar to the Corvette color electron blue which came out around 2000.

Re: LS1 into a 73 cheyenne
Trying to figure out some of the interior details like ignition switch since my steering column is keyless, I wanted it like that any how narrows it down to these 2 from so cal speed shop. I was thinking of concealing- so I don’t drill any holes in the cigarette lighter small compartment door

Re: LS1 into a 73 cheyenne
I also want to add a gauge cluster 2 for sure maybe 3. For sure I will add a transmission temp gauge and a fuel pressure gauge, and maybe a dial clock. Mounted on a either a finned or regular aluminum bracket. As for mount location still not sure maybe under dash in view like below radio.
