Re: What Did You Do With Your Truck Today ?
Well I hosed about 1" of dust off warhoop, then I got after it with schotchbrite pads and simple green to cut the oxidation down. I'm kinda liking in it. I may get after it with some wet sanding. At the very least it looks red again and not pink.

Re: What Did You Do With Your Truck Today ?
Made them, build thread has details. Recent post on install, probably a year ago on makeing them. Kustombrads was the inspiration, bottom is a big washer, ring is a cinch ring from the horse shop, rest is scrap flat stock. I sized them to match my wifes favorite beverage bottle, she has a serious problem with the small size of the ones in her car.

Cleaned up the garage and helped Ms. Joan sell tomatos in exchange for car $. Here is what a real heirloom tomato looks like. No trick photography, thats a regular hamburger bun. And its one of the early small ones!

Re: What Did You Do With Your Truck Today ?
Little secret I found out about the shifters is that if you want plain black knobs, round, oval or mushroom type, look on Ebay in the tractor section. I paid $7 plus $1.50 shipping for those two knobs. Hot rod and car resto places wanted a lot more. I got two different sizes so I can tell them apart without looking. I believe mine were the shifter and transfer case knobs for a older Massey Fergensen tractor, it has different sizes for the same reason.

That makes sence. I bet they are better than the repop ones. I bought a pair of the small repop knobs for my jeep. The sun did them in in no time.I used to have a pair of alumnum dice that I made with the year numbers up{42} but they evaporated. Now I have a pair of Reno plastic ones. |

Re: What Did You Do With Your Truck Today ?
Polished the machined column drop, color sanded and rubbed out the van steering column that I chopped, painted the firewall. Excuse the crappy pics had to use my phone only had one small run on firewall. I am happy with it cause it is only gonna be a driver.
