Re: How about some pics of '73-'87 Short Beds Part II
Here is my 78 Scottsdale Big 10, bought in 88 and helped my dad rebuild the engine in the back yard. It has been my daily driver since 1990. First pic is when we first got it on the road (89), second pic is pretty recent. Man I love this truck!

Re: How about some pics of '73-'87 Short Beds Part II
OK; finally got mine to the point it's worth posting pics of. The paint still needs to be machine polished, but I wanted all of the mechanicals done first. The first pic is how it looked the day I brought it home...

Here are some shots of the dash with the Dakota Digital gauges, Forever Sharp steering wheel and 32 in Lokar shifter.
I also have plans for a custom old style GMC emblem for the grille. |

I am using the blue from the 2017 Camaro with a little pearl added in. I'm debating on doing the 75 Sport stripes in a charcoal color. I will have to modify the front stripes a little to match the 85 body lines.

Looks like a nice truck to build, wrecking it is sad but happy part is now you can build it the way you want, keep us posted on the progress.

Re: How about some pics of '73-'87 Short Beds Part II
Anybody know anything about this truck? Not often you see an 81-82, and even less often to see a GMC. I wish they'd kept the signal lights in the bumper though, and used a grille with the GMC logo. That grille and the bumper signal lights are my favorite parts of the entire 73-87/91 run.
