Sweet! Runs good enough (way good) for your Pops if that is still the plan?
Save the LS3 idea for the next truck build IMO. When do we see the 40 Ford finished? Was it getting a HEMI (Gasser Style) or a 2bbl 289?

In my opinion, this is a better option for the old valve covers on an LS. You don't have to worry about the stamped steel valve covers leaking, and they hide the coils for you without having to relocate them.
