Nice photo. Brings back some old memories working with the RAVN as BDE Air back at Bragg - good times. Haven't been on much lately but I see you got your MBA, congrats.

Great project. Keep up the great work. I can't believe I haven't seen it before now.

Thank you for your service and your sacrifices to continue to do so.

I got off active duty just before desert storm and put myself through college to get my architecture degree then started working for the air national guard after I graduated. Got medically disqualified six years ago due to knee problems. I miss the job but not the time away from the family.

Hope they start paying you for the work you are doing soon. So is the promotion official now or do you still have to wait for an opening before they can let you advance to major?

Re: 68 K-10 SWB build thread - project Money Pit...pics galore!

still waiting for the opening in the rank structure to occur... i'm now 3rd on the list and HRO told me no later than October.... That will be a year and a half of working 1 rank lower than my job, plus pay, plus time in grade for the next promotion... It's not a good system but that's the way it goes. There are other guys that are doing the same and not even on the list.

The mancave looks nice. I like how you mounted the surround sound speakers. It should sound nice. So when's the first

thanks. got the speakers from this website www.monoprice.com If you ever need anything for home theatre you should check here first... including HDMI cables, flat panel mounts, and these in-wall speakers... they sound nice and were 1/3 the price of comparable models...

Re: 68 K-10 SWB build thread - project Money Pit...pics galore!

well, I finally got the letter i've been waiting for... my promotion voucher finally came in. Only took 14 months longer than it should have. I should be a Major in about 30 days... I'll be starting up my body work fund so I can get this beast together and get it painted... still will take awhile...

Here is a link to my mission at work yesterday... flew 6.2 hours hauling infantry troops, back thru washington DC @ 200ft... not a bad day in the office.

Congrats on the promotion. Just in case nobody told you; Major is the worst rank in the Army.

You have already proven you are smarter than every major I have ever known just by your ownership of a 67-72 Chevy truck

Re: 68 K-10 SWB build thread - project Money Pit...pics galore!

Just spent $500 of the new $1000 raise... refinanced the house to 15years, got 3.75% and will save about $150K in the long run... I was at 4.5% but the refi will save another $20K in 15 years...

If you have a mortgage it's the best time to look into a refi, best rates since the 60's....
