There are some good lookin rigs in here!
Finally got some proper offroad pics of my rig. This was just a cool picture on the way home. A LOT more pictures and story here: LS Swap Payoff – KS Rocks Offroad Trip | DIY METAL FABRICATION .com . Last edited by OldBlue71Chevy; 04-06-2015 at 08:09 AM. |

Re: post your 67-72 4x4
Finally found a decent factory 72 SWB K10 4 speed at a respectable price. No small feat in my area I discovered. Rust above windshield. Drivers side rocker panel, passenger door and fender. Seller included brand new replacements of all of it except roof patch that he hadn't gotten to installing. He even included the original wheels and hubcaps! Frame and the rest of the cab /front clip not mentioned above look rust free and straight.
Here's a few pics from this morning before she goes inside and gets torn down. Plans are swap bed to fleet side, rust repair, body work and paint, either a 12v diesel or a big block transplant and whatever suspension/frame changes that go with that, change out rear springs (has blocks now), bucket seats, relocate fuel tank, new wheels and tires, A/C and a few other items along the way. I'll start a build thread once I get going. Anyways here's a few pics for now... |

Re: post your 67-72 4x4
I don't believe mine has been posted on here yet. Got it about 6 months ago, 1970 GMC K2500. Lots of improvements have happened already.

Thanks for the compliments guys. Pete - I can get a SPID pic. Anything in particular you'd like to know about the truck?

Re: post your 67-72 4x4
Nothing in particular Bill - it's an outstanding truck in a seldom seen color combo and well optioned. Any chance your family has vintage pics of the truck? When I bought my K1500 the widow of the original owner was kind enough to search for old pictures of the truck but was unsuccessful - would have been to neat to see.

Re: post your 67-72 4x4
Here you go Pete. The SPID, and also a pic of the order form from back in 1968 when the truck ordered and purchased. No vintage pics or anything, but the truck really doesn't look any different now than it did back in the day, with the exception of the hubcaps. I bought those and had the wheels painted.
