New Vintage USA, same place that made the 5" dual gauges. Their site said they did custom design work so I asked if they could make matching air gauges, they said no problem and I had them in two weeks.

Re: Project '86

Ya know, honestly, I think that dropping a truck goes against what they were designed to do and usually hate them. But you sir, hats off! That is a true custom job. I applaud you for how much you're able to do with so little. And the fact that you have the skill/know-how to fab up alot of it is mind blowing.

Love the truck!

Now, do something just as amazing with a massive lift.

Re: Project '86

Maybe I should try Truckin again, I talked with street trucks several times and they said they would run it shortly in their blood sweat and gears sections but that was over 6 months ago.

You would think that with almost 125k views they would be begging to get you in the Mag.

You reach more people with 5 forums than they do with 12 issues and 147 pages. Advertisers love that. I am calling in to complain. Maybe i should tell them don't send my street trucks mag this month unless DV8 and his Project86 is in it. Awesome work mag or no mag.

Re: Project '86

Wasn't sure if my air gauges would fit between the other two gauges but today I bit the bullet and started cutting.

Looks like I missed center just a bit but I won't be able to tell from my viewpoint. The speedo is over a bit too far here as well but there is enough room to bump it over some.

Here's the old steering column through the firewall trick

Can't wait to drive this thing

Thumbs up Re: Project '86

Such an awesome build! I know if we don't see it in one of the truck mags, I'm gonna be pissed! It almost seems like you have to have connections either through a club or one of their 'chosen' shops to get any attention.

I know I'd make a road trip east to get to see it!
