Re: LS1 into a 73 cheyenne

Trying to figure out some of the interior details like ignition switch since my steering column is keyless, I wanted it like that any how narrows it down to these 2 from so cal speed shop. I was thinking of concealing- so I don’t drill any holes in the cigarette lighter small compartment door

Re: LS1 into a 73 cheyenne

I also want to add a gauge cluster 2 for sure maybe 3. For sure I will add a transmission temp gauge and a fuel pressure gauge, and maybe a dial clock. Mounted on a either a finned or regular aluminum bracket. As for mount location still not sure maybe under dash in view like below radio.

Re: LS1 into a 73 cheyenne

As for the transmission cooling I will cancel the radiator cooling and use an external cooler from Derale with temp sender coming out of cooler. I will hard line the system

Copy that. I was going to be surprised if the electron blue was still in use in the same formula. I asked because I had a Trans Am then with bad paint. I wanted to change from the burgundy and couldn't decide until I saw the 2000 Vette.

Anyway that Jet Stream is a beautiful color. Looks amazing in the sun.

Thanks. No under the bed and cab I did a silver POR 15 I like the contrast it gives I didn’t want to deal with clear gettI got chips. POR 15 gives good protection and it’s way more cost effective.
See the pics below I dig that contrast

It took me like 3 years to find a decent tailgate. The one I had originally was beat up beyond repairs. Mind u this tail gate had allot of work done. I love the stamped letters

Re: LS1 into a 73 cheyenne

On parts that need allot of work I do them in sections or zones and close in on it. Once I lose my patience I walk away and try another day, sometimes ur just not inthe mood, if that’s the case I don’t eaven attempt to do any work.

Re: LS1 into a 73 cheyenne

Towed the square back home. I didn’t install tail gate cus I didn’t have stainless bolts for hinges. Will do this on week end. will also install the steering column and steering wheel, maybe if I get to it install the calipers and wheels and adjust the stance on the coil overs now that it has the weight of engine.
Will wait 3 weeks before I color sand.
