Re: Not Another Rebuild Thread....
WOW, you have made a ton of progress since I last checked in on here. I like how your seat turned out. Looks real good!
I have been so busy with baseball and Korbin's truck I have not looked around as much and stayed up to date with other peoples threads like I really wanted to do. So as I understand it, you may be leaving Alaska in September?

Re: Not Another Rebuild Thread....
Funny thing you mention in one of your posts.
"THE GUYS ON HERE PUMP YOU UP" I find that half of what I do to our truck is directly as a result of, and for the approval on here. That seat looks like the perfect compromise between bench and bucket. Nicola has asked for a monkey handle in the roof for her to hang onto. Posted via Mobile Device

Re: Not Another Rebuild Thread....
Great vision on the seat. Totally fits the interior design in the cab.
When the seat is installed you will be taking pics outside correct? Maybe some vid? On a different build I saw you mention something about Spokane? You and your cars? You may be there? Need info on that and pics if you attend too. Totally diggin all your cool toys |

Right now I would have to push the truck outside, and then use the ATV or my Sonoma to push it back in. There is a bit of a slope involved which as the truck gets heavier, becomes more of a problem.... someday I will have a true shop. Yes we are from Spokane, and there is where we keep all our good stuff. We are going to retire down there on our land so we are trying to get all that ready. Talked to Trish last night about showing our cars together in the Spokane GoodGuys the weekend of the 17-18th of August. And heck ya will take tons of photos....had the honor of meeting Captain Fab, and Markb there last year! Quote:

The issue I ran into when ordering a radiator, is that some of these places dont ship to Alaska !! Go figure I will certainly let you all know what I come up with tho.... ******************************************************************************************** Hey all you guys that are dealing with mosquitos !!!! Check out this product, because let me tell you, up here there are at least 3 distinct species of those buggers from the ones that are the size of small cockroachs that are the first to appear in April-May, to the black and white stripped ones we all know and loathe, to the mini fast movers we are suffering now up here !! I have Citronella candles in my garage, and they will fly right past it. This unit however will clear them out of the entire garage, even if we have one of the bay doors open !! They are a tad pricey, but I SWEAR they are 100% worth it! The Heart drawn on the wall is the first mosquito sighting and kill for 2013....you know, just for smiles Just some intell from me to you guys !!

Re: Not Another Rebuild Thread....
got one, and use it religiously during bow season they do work great. hopefully they will lay off in a little while, nothing more annoying than something buzzing in your ear or taking a hunk out of you arm

Re: Not Another Rebuild Thread....
I had been thinking of upgrading my air compressor for some time, particularly after getting the blast cabinet.
Then PDXhall got his, and was saying how nice it was....so I revisited the idea. I happen to mention it at work, and was told that one of my coworkers had a 60gal that he could not use in on post housing. It was 220v and the nearest plug in was on the second floor of the housing, so in his garage, unused it sat. I talked to him about getting it, and mentioned my little Craftsman which was only 110v. Long story short, we traded straight across (though I suspect he was being MORE than generous) My old faithful Craftsman: The new (to me) Husky: Ok, so on Bomps thread he made a door art photo... I cannot compete directly with his skills, so I try to make up for it in imagination... I also try to not let any challenge, real or perceived, go unanswered. This is also a teaser, as I got my seat in finally !! So here is my door art reply: All in good fun buddy, I love this place !! Orginal art work courtesy of Ta2Don, I just had to mod a copy of it a little for this little prank. I hope everyone had a great 4th of July !! Up here in the land of 24 hour daylight and raging forest fires, we dont get fireworks, so hrmmmmmmm.

Re: Not Another Rebuild Thread....
Looking Great Murph!
Gotta love those trades, I recently scored a '95 chrome grille for my 90 Silverado DD ( I feel like I was on the better end of that trade ) and he is also giving me his aftermarket hood off his 91, the truck that sported the 95 grille. It is a split cowl look with some fake Air Inlets in the front (very ugly) that I plan on welding up so it will have more of a traditional cowl look... Sorry for rambling there, I like where you went with the door art... Looking forward to the pix or video or both of the installed seat...

I still remember getting mine too....actually still have my first DL in my wallet ! I will know for certain by next Friday about the GoodGuys show, but yes so far it looks like we are going to do it. Wife is itching to show her car (it will be her first time) and it is a beauty !! Anyways, we are planning on being home (Spokane) from the 1st thru the 30th of August, and showing our cars the weekend of the 16-17-18th. More to follow on that-------- ********************************************************************************************* First off, is this a good spray gun? I picked it up at a local pawnshop for $75 I figured if the answer is no, then I could use it for primer or POR-15/Herculiner at the very least... These are just teasers for what I have been working on lately: A little fan shroud modifying: A bit of battery cradle relocation, maybe?: Anyways it was a productive day today, got my door seals glued in, brake and clutch pedal pads glued on.....and a bunch of other stuff I will try to show you guys in a day or two! That gun has got to be better than the fine Chinese piece I got from Harbor Freight and mine works great. Major score on the compressor too!
