Re: slik ricks 67 short wide CST

well my dad wuzed out on the plan to take his front bed panel out....so i took my passenger bucket out and started to think how i could get a bolt that snapped off of the front pass. on the bucket. So today i went and drilled a hole through it, after about 30 min. and that didnt work so....(speeding up the process) vise grips to go from behind:fail, easy out bit : fail,(snapped off and then it was stuck in the hole that i made). So my dad had enough and grinded the nut that was wegded in the frame work from the factory, and then we hit it and it poped out so then i got a washer ,bolt and a nut and put that bracket back on. but in order to do all of that i had to take the cover off so i took it off and the frame had some surface rust on it so i sanded again, primer and then paint. i then put it all back together

so a simple job lasted about 2 or 3 hours of work we finally got it done

while i was at the parts store my dad bought the key ignition,we still need the ignition part that the wiring plugs into and the retaining nut (i need to order that from www.truckandcarshop.com )

i also primer'd the parl lights housings and the shift linkages that i got from jeremy
so here are some pics

Re: slik ricks 67 short wide CST

Looking good man! Question, how do those parking lamp housing attach to the grille? It's been so long since I've taken mine apart and a lot of my hardware has disappeared from working on 3 restorations at the same time lol.

well eric there are x4 7/16ths nuts that bolt on to the bolts which are attached to the park lights.... you will see on the grill there is 2 holes in each ''dip'' and you just slide the park llight in and then go underneath and bolt them up really easy if i ever go down to sac and you havent done it ill do it for you
