Paul, I only need the back rear parts, from wheel arch back/half way up on the right side, and just the very bottom of the back on the left side, the rest is spare!

Re: Martin's mi-STRESS, 1965 Long Fleetside C10 "Rebuild in ENGLAND"

Well I went to look on my thread and noticed its on page six so I better update what's been going on . Unfortunately not much has been done to the truck . I am waiting on an anti roll bar ( sway bar ) and the mount brackets to arrive .

The rest of the time I have been so busy sorting out my house and getting my internet working five visits from my supplier finally got it sorted

As for what's been happening my dog ripped his crucial ligament in his back leg so I had to empty my conservatory and build up a temporary wall so he only had a small section of garden he was then confined to the small area for eight weeks .

So with all this going on the last thing I needed was what happened next . On a ride over to Sally's I hit somthing in the road While riding my Harley and I went down the road resulting in two cracked ribs . Resulting in my bike being written off by my insurance company. I on the other hand took a few weeks to mend so no truck time .

So with the bike written off and after an argument with insurance company over the value . They paid me out the full amount . So I decided to replace the bike , with a car after having to sell my Mercedes to pay off my ex , and still having another bike to use .

I decided to get a Porsche Boxster the funny thing is after looking locally with no success. I found one just outside Glasgow . The best thing was Bill On this forum was not to far away from the car I was going to look at . I purchased two tickets to fly up to Glasgow where Bill met me and Sally at the airport ( Thanks again Bill )I had traded a pedal box that I had posted to him and he gave me the sway bar . He then drove use to collect the car but the sway bar was to big to go in it so it will need to be sent by courier.

The car I collected and then had a 450mile drive home

So after getting back with the car it was time to start packing as two weeks later it was time for my holiday to Cyprus with Sally a long needed break after all that had happened.

Driving around in Cyprus in my hire car and in a lot warmer weather than back home

And chilling out down at the beach for an evening out

And all chilled waiting for another beer

So with all this going on and getting back from holiday with the darker evenings and the cold weather . The body work can't be done as it too cold in the car port , but once I get my sway bar and brackets I will get that fitted . I will soon be finishing off the brake lines and the exhaust as I have two weeks off over the Christmas period. Then roll on Spring .

Hi Martin, good to see you back on the forum, you've been having a bit of a torrid time.

Shame about the Harley, as I found out the last time I dumped a bike, ribs heal but bikes don't

Still every cloud they say has a silver lining and I see you've gone from this

Re: Martin's mi-STRESS, 1965 Long Fleetside C10 "Rebuild in ENGLAND"

Well just an update. As I mentioned earlier I was getting a sway bar from Bill . Well today the mounting brackets arrived from America. Thanks to Paul (NevEno) . The sway bar was picked up by a friend of pete's in Brighton. So all being well I should be collecting it in a couple of weeks .

The brackets thanks again Paul

I sent Clem a couple of messages to get me a shipping cost and he never got back to me so I guess it's still there . In the end I found one in the U.K. Thanks to Bill .

Re: Martin's mi-STRESS, 1965 Long Fleetside C10 "Rebuild in ENGLAND"

First of all I would like to wish everyone that reads my post a Happy new year

Now for the update I didn't want to have to do . Those of you that read my thread know that my dog Bow had an operation on his leg , well unfortunately he started limping on the other leg . I took him to the vet and was informed the possibility of bone cancer due to the gland in his leg being swollen. Well the vets diagnosis was correct and on the 30/12/2016 he went in for X-rays that confirmed it had got worse. So it was time to let him go . I must confess to leaving the vets in tears , those of you that have had a dog will understand. He was only six years old . He would always come outside with me when I worked on the truck

Taken about a month ago

I was also given a painting for Christmas by Sally's dad John . He new he was unwell but not the full extent of Bow's condition. I think he did a great job

The painting

Thanks for looking in next update will be truck related as I have received some parts and would like to have it done or at least nearly there by this time next year .

So sorry to hear of your loss. I can truly relate to the tears leaving the vets as I had to deal with that about three years ago now and I still miss my shop buddy.

Looking forward to your truck updates.
