Re: Post your C/L - Facebook finds for everyone to enjoy!

I have a real treat for yall today!

https://sfbay.craigslist.org/eby/cto...647713435.html

Has a General Diesel with very little run time. 4 speed with a 2 speed rear end. Brakes on all axles. Custom frame. Doors close like new. No rust, very solid. Have all the parts in the bed. Many are NOS, with receipts. Clean title. On non ops. Ran a couple years ago off a can. Needs new aluminum tank fuel tank installed and battery. Trades considered for enclosed car trailer.

Re: Post your C/L - Facebook finds for everyone to enjoy!

That is one solid looking truck but if it were sitting in my garage it would be loosing that tag axle. I hope no one gets offended If I say that it looks like it has old semi truck driver written all over it. The potential though

Things like that without a real working purpose always tell me that the builder doesn't think the vehicle will get enough attention on it's own without something to add some bubba factor.

When you walk around the local car show and see the car with the drive in tray on the window with fake burger and drink mug on it or the drive in speaker stand next to it or other trinkets set out for display those tell me that the owner doesn't think the car will get enough attention on it's own merit. Same as the guy who has to start his engine and gun it several times every half hour on the half hour.

47/48 Chevy parts truck Big long wheel base rig with a pretty nice looking cab and doors from what I can tell.
At 300 this might be a deal for somone in the PNW looking for a cab. I don't have the extra money or I'd buy it and turn the frame into a frame table.

Close to Zillah Wa.

No engine but a three speed manual trans in the bed. Worth every cent I think at today's prices.

Rust doesn't look too bad, dash uncut, can't quite see if there's cancer under the cab eyebrow.

Washington plates on that one. The value on that one might be the rust it doesn't look like you will have to fight.

This is basically a 50 cab with a clear title and a bunch of mix match parts but the cab doesn't look all that terrible. Rough 54 front fenders on it.

I wouldn't argue that point for a second, It might be the left overs from a build with a title too. If I had the extra money, I'd buy it for the cab and title if they match, and stick the cab on my old frame. I've got enough pieces laying around to pretty well put a truck together that someone might decide they liked.

Re: Post your C/L - Facebook finds for everyone to enjoy!

This add has been up for 13 weeks so he may have sold this batch of cabs and parts already. It would take some serious hauling to get it all out of there though.

It looks like he had plans to put AD trucks together on S-10 frames at one time.

I didn't get a photo of it, but I saw a 10700 dump truck for sale today. It was $6200. It's here in Star ID. It looked to be in really nice shape!!! Maybe I'll go by and get a photo at a later date.

Running, driving and functioning dump trucks or flatbeds with hoists give your wives too many ideas for honeydoos. That isn't a bad thing but it can keep you busy doing around the place things rather than what you would rather be doing.

Slick little sectioned 51 Chevy with the back end of a burb for a bed in Wenachee Wa.

https://www.facebook.com/marketplace...type=top_picks

The listing is 6 weeks old so he either sold it or is still waiting for the FI unit to come back Price isn't bad for the list of parts on it.

The ad is hard to read. He wants $4500 for the truck, $8000 for the motor/trans.

Re: Post your C/L - Facebook finds for everyone to enjoy!

Even 4500 depends on how much of the truck he actually has.

To me the Jag front end if it is XJ is a far better way to go than a Camaro stub No sheetmetal hacking to get it to fit and you barely know that It is there visually when you look in the engine compartment.

If I had the cash I'd buy it LS3 Subframe and all, Clean up the subframe and sell it to a Camaro freak, put the Truck together so that it looked like something and put it up for sale and put the LS3 and trans in my ot car that I want to do an LS swap on.

I would love to build a Taskforce truck for my wife but the reality is I can't afford it. I'll be lucky if I can finish the 64 Suburban that's been my project off and on for the last 10 years.
