Thanks Kyle, I will need all the help I can get from you when it comes time to shoot some color on this thing. My last experience with base/clear didn't turn out too good. I'm now leaning towards buying some of your high$$ base paint now.

Thanks Keith. I only wish I wasn't so slow at doing the bodywork. Some might say I'm meticulous......I say I just suck at shaping metal and mud. My work ethic is suspect too

Thanks Rex. I never thought I would be so far behind you. You really knocked yours out quick as soon as there was some red paint on it. I'm hoping mine goes that fast. FYI your sig link isn't working.

Thanks Ryan, It is very rewarding to get past all the rust and dents. I know someday it will have shiney red paint and I will have done every bit of it myself.

Re: 1969 Short Wide

My ole friend CrashOK stopped by the shop last night. We were going to charge his AC but found a few leaks that have to be fixed first.

I have to say his truck is the nicest 4x4 I have ever seen. I now have a new favorite truck.

If you haven't ever checked out his thread (LINK), this is how to knock a build out the right way. Member screamingchevypickup did a great job on the paint- Pictures don't do it justice.

Re: 1969 Short Wide

I made it! Man you've got a nice project going here. All the plumbing, wiring and ESPECIALLY the exhaust is stellar work! I'm also sooooo glad you switched cabs. Not a big fan of the shaved look. You're making the rust repair and body work look easy. I know you must have a jillion hours invested, especially considering you did two cabs. This will for sure be one you can be proud of. Props!!!

Thanks for stopping by my thread. Thank you for the kind words. I do have a bunch of hours (I'm not counting though). It's amazing how these builds can change over time. I will have more changes coming soon too. Stay tuned

Re: 1969 Short Wide

looks like you got that pulled out great. I need to get me one of those setups...to pull out the door I screwed up...backing up with the door open and caught it on my TBSS. Yup, bent the door back before I knew what was going on.

Bummer on your door Kurt. I love the stud welder/dent puller. My good friend Crash_OK was nice enough to loan it to me. It has been a life saver. It's a must have tool if you're using all 40+ old metal like I am.
