I have a press to remove and install the bearings. I just don't have any shims or stock the right size to support the hub to get it secured on the press. These bearings are a sealed unit and 2" thick and roughly 2.5" in diameter. Plus the bearings are $100 ea and a used hub is $150 on up so I really dont want to damage either.

I may still have an offset fan hub here. If you need it I will take a look. I used the intercooled 1st gen hub on mine (with a super-custom spacer for the fan) and that fixed a bunch of issues in one shot. The biggest thing it did was bring the fan back to center where it lined up with the hole in the shroud from the big block.

i am interested in that hub as well. as i sit now my fan is a little south of the radiator. i think the first gen hub will get the fan a little better centered in the core. i will be making my own shroud, but it would still be easier with the fan centered.

Ryan, if you have a centered hub and want to do a trade or some such thing let me know. i still have to send your steering block! i moved it earlier and remembered again...

Ryan, I have an industrial hub that is near a dodge hub but the fan pulley is different and the spacing may be too. I'll check it out tomorrow and report back. Im not so worried about side to side as front to back and one on the burb I'm doing appears shorter and its from a 93. 92 & 93 are the shorter ones. Maybe I'll pull it off and see if it'll fit. I doubt it though. This truck is about to get put on hold again for a bit. The burb my wife's driving is getting to the point it's wanting more money and I need to get the 76 on the road in a bad way.

Yeah, I'm wanting to sell the white whale. I'd have to get a good cunk for this truck. But I did have a customer try to trade me his dodge today for it. I told him too bad his dodge wasn't a ford. I want the cab room.

Thanks. Yes, it is nice to finally get a side view of a complete truck. I took a gamble on getting a mechanical fan on the engine, and it paid off. I have about 1/2" in between the radiator and fan blade. I have to get a new serpentine belt. So say bye bye to the green gatorback belt. Haha

the truck is looking reeeally awesome. i like the white and orange trucks almost as much as i like the solid orange ones!

Glad to hear about the fan. i think that was the best choice.

I've always wanted a solid orange one of these with upper and lower mouldings. On the fan, I figured I'd at least try to put the 92-93 style fan hub on, and it fits. Clearance is tight now that the fenders are on, but I think I'm going to modify the radiator mounts and lean the radiator back some to gain more clearance.

Yesterday I got the fenders on, mouldings on the doors and fenders, and installed the fender to door seals, and fresh air assembly in the cowl. Today I'm going to get the cowl, and hood on.

Before I forget, here are the pics of the fender to door seal after I got them done.




Here's a before pic with the trash guards on the cowl.



Fender emblems. I also put new wood grain on my lower mouldings. A lot of my trim isn't perfect, but I picked the best pieces I had. I plan on repainting the black parts later as I just want to get this thing put together.



I had a friend help me put the cowl on. Boy was that fun. I'm going to have to remove it and pull two shims out of the lh fender. It has too much gap at the top. I installed a new hood to cowl seal and let me tell you, it really causes the hood to shut hard. Anyone else had that problem? I have to modify my hood latch assy now. My hood is held down with a strap for the time being.
