Re: ChevyLand ‘The Truck Photo Tour’

Thanks guys,

The story :
Saw it on cl In Montana one night
Called the guy and offered full price
To wire the money
He called me the next day and said he only wanted cash
And he had someone who was coming to buy it
I wrote it off
Then he called me late that next day
The other person stood him up last minute
So he was much more accommodating on working out the payment plans
Anyway
He got if from a lady who’s husband passed away over 20 years ago
I asked why it’s missing the mirrors,
He had just painted it before he passed and didn’t mounting new ones
(No holes)
The It stayed locked up for all those years till he found it
I haven’t dug into it yet
But looks to have just over 100k and very rust free
You never know what they really are going to be until you see them in person
I ordered open transport
But it showed up enclosed (first time that ever happened)
With a very nice couple, driving
What it looked like rolling off
I was pleasantly impressed

Awesome stuff Eric, those spoke hubcaps look like they came off an 80’s dodge caravan much better with the P01’s!

While I'm normally a PO3 cap fan, I gotta say those PO1s look primo on both trucks

Re: ChevyLand ‘The Truck Photo Tour’

Wow I’ve thoroughly enjoyed the new (old) eye candy.

I agree the P01’s just really set it off with the trim level trucks. The P03’s seem to fit with the base models. GM really nailed it 50 years ago.

Is that black bed wood original?

Re: ChevyLand ‘The Truck Photo Tour’

Also… is all that gold vinyl original? It’s hard to find any original vinyl in good shape, but gold just seems to be even harder to find. What a handsome combo.

The bed was another surprise
When I was asking the seller all my questions
He said ‘kind of a bummer the old guy painted the bed black. Wood and all’
I was licking my chops then
When it showed up, I pulled back the rubber mat
Bam…. All original

I think all the interior is original
But, the seatcover looks to be replaced with an original
Probably, a long time ago. It just seems to nice for 100k truck

Most of the stuff my Dumb boss makes me Do
Is boring, like ‘sorting’ all the ‘sockets ‘- wOw
Even a dumB dOg could do that
.
Or looking through the emblem boxes—
Hmm didn’t someone on the parts area need those
My stupid boss doesn’t even know what year those Chevrolet letters go on
