Re: Joined the Short Wheelbase Club *69 Tahoe Project*

Gosh dang it! I keep checking this thread every time it gets bumped and NOTHIN'

That little blue thing is looking pretty sweet though! Glad to see you went manual with it too! You're going to have a unique ride with some great fuel mileage! I might have missed it, but are you going to do any paint/body on that or just roll in it as a sleeper?

If you want to save the kleen one, I've got a pretty solid body on a 1/2 T Chassis, if you want something to play around with.....

Yep. but that site is pretty slow. I plan on posting a "real" project thread somewhere (not sure where yet) once I reach a certain point (probably after the engine is mounted).

Talk about an understatement...!

I'm not a fan of "ferin" or 4 door cars but I kinda like the "dare to be different" aspect of little blue, and as always I like to see the fab work! Post a link when ya find a home for the build thread!

I'm guessing by the tape measure pic, it's out of a mid '70's Jeep CJ.

Re: Joined the Short Wheelbase Club *69 Tahoe Project*

I'm thinkin the driver headed to the big after party. The guy who I bought it from provided a few too many details so I'll leave it at that.

Very close BlueJeep; the D44 is from a 1970 DJ-5 (postal Jeep). It's a 3.73 Trac-Lok (thanks again to CG for haulin it down).

I had the axles re-drilled to fit the S2000 rotors which just happens to be the same bolt pattern as those wheels. I'll most likely be running 235/35/17's all around.

The Tri-4-Link is from Art Morrison.

as long as you weren't scraping skin or brain matter off the drivers side it's all good.

Ahh, that was my first guess....the spring perches on top of the axle should have given it away....

Re: Joined the Short Wheelbase Club *69 Tahoe Project*

I think everyone is going to kill me for bumping this thread hoping that some more progress was made, but its just a damn newbie
I would just like to say I joined the site in hopes of finding out what headers to use on my SBC to BBC swap (no I'm not going to start a NOTHER thread about that) and my search (damn, I wish all newbies knew how to search) took me to your build. AH-FRICKEN-MAZING. There has been so much I have missed out on not being on this board.

Now off to do an Intro and build page
