Cal, If anyone deserves it, it's you... I see a few more on this forum that deserves to be on magazine covers also but I won't name names.

Re: 58 GMC Project

Thanks everyone! When I was in my teens I would earn a few bucks mowing the neighbor’s lawn then head down to the store a buy a Hot Rod magazine and would dream someday of owning, building and having a car in a magazine. Well know I can say my dream came true. Thanks again to all of you who gave me encouragement when I was building my truck and believe me, there were times when I would be so burned out and didn't feel like getting out in my garage and work on the truck, but posting on this thread and someone would responded “hey nice job” or “looking good”, that’s the stuff that kept me going. So too all of you that are in the middle of your builds or still in the planning stage I hope my build can be an encouragement and as Joe Dirt said “Keep on Keeping on”!!

Re: 58 GMC Project

Wow, congrats CAL. I know it will sound like a broken record already but it's well deserved. I made it into a mag with my last car I built but never made it to the cover and of course not on such a huge mag either. Again, Congrats. Make sure you get at least 5-10 copies you will wish you did in 10 or 15 years when you want to pull it out and show someone. I have no more copies of mine. I wish I could still get one but it was along time ago.

Re: 58 GMC Project

Congrats on the truck making the cover. When I saw it, I said "hey I know that truck."

It's a very well done article and I don't think the editor hacked up what you wrote at all or much if any.

That's going to push the rest of us a lot harder to keep up now.

Re: 58 GMC Project

Thanks everyone for the overwhelming response!!! I really was wondering if it was ever going to make it in let alone the cover since the photos were taken last March. I finally got my copy in the mail and took it camping with me over the weekend and I’m proud to say I looked it over all weekend..lol.
