I'm getting bored... Any updates yet? You know that I am living vicariously through you until I have someplace to start tearing mine apart, right?

Re: Joined the Short Wheelbase Club *69 Tahoe Project*

I got nuthin on this one fellas The beamer needs to get finished first. You know, I haven't even driven it with the new exhaust and I have a PBDM waiting to go in ...it's killin me! On a good note, I'm closing on a house and finishing school this month so there is light at the end of the tunnel (money and time)

Not moving. It's a lease-option purchase.

My parents did that back in the day too! They rented the house I grew up in for the first few years, then bought it (they still own it.)

Congratulations on the house and the PBDM. I have a house so I guess 1 out of 2 isn't bad

Re: Joined the Short Wheelbase Club *69 Tahoe Project*

You have a PBDM too, right?

The lease option is similar to stock options in that you are guaranteed a purchase price for an asset. Stock options are generally issued as reward units where as a lease option is secured with a fee that may or may not be later applied toward the down payment for purchasing the property.

In my case we agreed on a purchase price, and I paid a fee for the right to buy the property at that price in 14 months time. The money I put toward that fee applies toward the down as well as a percentage of the monthly rent. So at the end of the contract, when I purchase the home, I will have built more equity than with a conventional loan in the same period of time. The risk: If I do not secure financing before the contract expires I loose the fee and monthly accumulated funds.

Yep I have one coming but I think the man in the brown van may be doing unspeakable things too it, but once he grows board of it I am sure it will show up

It is paid for but Nate has been working a few changes into it for me as well as for the future C4 DM owners. Plus right now I am trying to cram as many customer builds in as I can so I will be able to afford my English wheel and power bead roller before I get too deep in my Tahoe. I have allot of plans for the sheet metal under the hood

Boy this dropped back to page 4. It took me almost 2 days to read it to find out you are building a sunbeam. ARGHH! Another thread I will have to subscribe to! Damn Honda drivetrain! I wanna put a turbo on my civic commuter...hehe 35 mpg and 300hp in a 2200lb car would be a little fun on my 40 mile each way commute.
