Re: What did you do to your Blazer/Jimmy today?
Had reproduction dealer license plate frames made based off a photo I have of an original. Still chasing an original example.

Re: What did you do to your Blazer/Jimmy today?
Today I took my wife to breakfast ,Tractor Supply, and Walmart. Dropped off our purchases at the house and went to get fuel (fuel points expire today) Filled the tank and was on the way to her Mothers house to hook up garden hoses and PUFF 3 blocks from her house it just quit. Guy at the light in front of me heard it shut down and came back to throw me a tow strap . I had him take me on to her house and spent all afternoon, going to get cap and rotor and module only to find my pickup coil was bad as well . I'll be going back in the morning with new distributor. Will be cheaper and faster than replacing all the parts in side and all will be NEW.

Re: What did you do to your Blazer/Jimmy today?
You are not the first one to say that. Definitely not the way I pictured it. I did get it going by noon Monday.

Shameful ride home.
The seal in my 4l80e transmission pump pushed out. |

Re: What did you do to your Blazer/Jimmy today?
Today I finished my seat swap (originals were long gone). Swapped in 2022 Yukon Denali seats (steal off of Facebook) and a 2018 jump seat center console. Huge upgrade with the 10-way power, before and after pictures attached.

Re: What did you do to your Blazer/Jimmy today?
Been offline for awhile.
Continuing on with my 72. As most of you know, the small job I started out doing turned into way more. Sorry. I don’t know what I did with my pics! This is all I could find now. Trying to invent gas fill behind tail light. Ill find more and post em.

I took mine out for a successful drive after a transmission rebuild and adding of a controller for said transmission.

Re: What did you do to your Blazer/Jimmy today?
I stood in the doorway of my garage almost in tears while looking at mine due to the fact that I cannot drive my Blazer until either I swap the flywheel or do my Gen V L8t swap. Currently laid off from work so I cannot really spend anything on the Blazer. I really want to get back to a steady paycheck so that I can begin getting it back on the road.
It is also about 8 degrees outside with a feels like temp of -13 so that is depressing too. |
