and I ran out of line, I guess 15 feet was not enuff, so I gotta buy another spool to do the rear drum brake line run, not all the way back to the rear axle just to the transmission crossmember

always happens, bought 30 feet of ptfe line for my fuel lines on the camaro so I could also re do the return...yup like 7 feet short... Engineering math, point A to B is 12 feet, add 6 feet for extra, be short 7, the hell??

so then I called the Chevy C10 Non Tilt Manual Steering Column Installation Help Desk or the CCNTMSCIHD where the same kind fella answered and guided me through the entire installation process pointing out a bunch of cool factoids along the way

here are some of the doo dads Patrick had me mountenate

yes we are going with a Grant steering circle on this truck, and yes I own 7 different Grant Chevy truck specific mounting kits, and NO none of them fit this steering column

this is just for mock up anyway, and will have to come apart for spring cleaning and painting eventually

I probably missed it..... I watched a couple of the videos... full highway speeds I am guessing? my other thought was get a tesla drive unit and go about it that way... so many ideas and so lil time it seems lol

clocking the steering column was next, and Patrick left no stone unturned, pointing out things I didn't know existed

so first this rectangulizer points North and has the brake pedal bracket nipple go inside of it

(I love these factory hints for assembly)

So now I know it IS normal for the bell to spin a bit on these floor shift columns. Thanks for checking that for me. When it comes time to tear down this column, please let me know if there is a foam donut inside it down under that curved cover at the bottom end.
